“SAALA KHADOOS” & Your Investment Success
Greetings
from Hitesh! After a long time that I show a movie on the FIRST day!! I could
relate that to Investment success. So, just sharing with you all.
Background:-
Movie
starts with Fisherman family with two daughters. Mother is a visionary and she
supports here daughters in BOXING. The game plan was to get selected in BOXING
and join the police job in Sports Quota. They believed that if their elder
daughter becomes the Police, they all would live happily ever after!!
Every
time elder daughter losses – she starts crying as she will not be getting into
the police job. Her younger sister is naughty and she has a care a damn
attitude towards WORLD at a large.
ADI
TOMER – a coach finds the fire in the younger daughter – MADHI and he proposes
to train her. But she is not ready. ADI pays her Rs.500 per day so that she
attends the Training for BOXING.
Now
let us see the events and the investment lessons.
PURPOSE of ELDER
SISTER - LAXMI:-
All
she wants is to join the Police in sports quota. She plays a trick in defeating
her own sister at NATIONAL level selection and she got selected due to failure
of her sister.
She
knows in deep down that MADHI is the BEST. But she finds it difficult to
understand – how come she is better boxer than her?
In
fact, in the later part of the movie she was shown to ask the Coach that how
come he is not teaching her the same technique, which he is teaching MADHI?
My understanding is simple. She did not have very STRONG emotional
purpose to do the boxing. She wanted to do it so that she can earn some money
/name and a secured job in police.
Moreover, this was her mother’s dream!! Not her own dream.
Normal investors come to the market without any strong emotional
purpose. They have spare money from their job/business and they want to invest
the same into various asset class. For them investing is a BYE PRODUCT and
their job or business is the main product.
They are not doing JOB, so that they can invest. They are investing because
they have spare money from their JOB. (READ This AGAIN). They lack the purpose. Investing is a secondary activity
for them.
So, when a FALL comes in the market – they are the first one to RUN
away. They do not have the NERVE of the STEEL to stay in the game when market
is volatile.
MADHI:-
She
is younger / energetic and carefree girl. She does everything for the family /
her sister with lot of happiness. She has no GOALS. She is the example of
BEING!! (if you want to understand BEING – must see her).
ADI
cajoles her to join the BOXING by paying Rs.500 per day. She is doing BOXING
TRAINING so that she can get Rs.500 per day for her family. She spends all the
money for her family.
She
outsmarts all the players and her sister too. Transformation in her life comes
when she comes to know that COACH has spent all his BANK balance on her
training and even sold his BIKE to pay money to her family!!
She
gets her emotional call to become the CHAMPION. She loses the same due to her
sister’s jealousy. Later on some other coach wanted to exploit her and she
refused and she is left in the JAIL. Finally she could contact her MASTER ADI.
Her
second round starts with WILD CARD entry and she won the entry into
International Championship. Ultimately she wins the game and become the
international BOXING champions.
She starts without purpose. But when she finds her inner calling
– Boxing becomes life for her. She spends all her time in BOXING practice. She
follows the MASTER. In fact, she loves him. Winning the Boxing was her way to
say “ I love you to HIS MASTER”. She had lot of emotional stakes in winning the
game. She was not in the GAME for some MONEY / RECOGNITION or some JOB. She was
there to get LOVE of her LIFE. She was there to realize her POTENTIAL as a
BOXER.
Success in any area is a part of your EMOTIONAL STAKES. How BADLY
you want it? This is the FIRE. Unless you can generate this fire from within –
no coach can help you very much.
Emotional Stakes with
Emotional Purpose:-
Most
guys want a job security because they have emotional stakes like child
education / housing loan / parents medical treatment / gold necklace for wife
etc, etc. They want to give the best to their family whatever they can give at
their levels. But they lack the EMOTIONAL PURPOSE
for which they can DIE or they can KILL.
People
with EMOTIONAL STAKES end up living a life full of compromises and they lead
the average life. Their sole propose is ECONOMIC security, nothing beyond that.
They call themselves – “SANTOSHI”!!!
My observation of successful investors tells me that they have
the combination of the two. They also get failures. They do not have the
control on MARKET. But because of the above TWO – they find out the way to stay
on the ground for a little while more when average investors go out of the
market.
Emotional
purpose is the FAN, which can continuously give you AIR to keep on the fire of your
Emotional Stakes.
What can be your
emotional purpose?
There
can be N number of purposes. In fact, there can be as many purposes as many
people are there on the EARTH. So, there can’t be any singular purpose. It
depends on you.
However,
the best purpose to start with should be – FINANCIAL FREEDOM. All successful
investors have their basic root in the FREEDOM. They want to live their life at
their own terms. They do not want the mundane life of 9 to 6. They are ready to
work for 18 hours but the goal is simple – they want to get the FREEDOM first.
When they get the FREEDOM – name / fame and money comes automatically.
What NEXT?
You
have two options.
1. Go on DOING what you
are doing (job or business) so that you can invest some money and earn some
money.
Or
2. You can learn the fine
art of investment from us and achieve financial freedom first so that you can
do any JOB or BUSINESS out of your choice.
Your
choice will decide your DESTINY.
Wish
you all a VERY HAPPY INVESTING.
