Advantage of being Amit Shah / Anil Ambani and
Abhishek Bachchan
Dear Fellow Travelers,
Namaste! Our last post on Rahul Gandhi was super hit. Readers
appreciated the same. Today we are talking about equally interesting topic. Let
me ask you – How long you will live? Average life expectancy in India is
69 years as per some study. So, naturally, you can say – you will live approx. 69
years. But that is the life of your body. What about the life of your Memory in
the people around you? So, let us explore the same.
How long you will live in the memory of the people?
For normal people they will be remembered by the
people around them as long as their near and dear are alive. Say a person will
be remembered as long as his friends, relatives and children are alive. In some
case, if the person lives little more – he will have direct touch with his
grandchildren and they will also remember him.
But let me tell you some of the well-known pairs which
we remember together.
1. Krishna – Arjun
2. Ram – Laxman
3. Ravan – Vibhishen
4. Buddha – Ananad
5. Mahavir – Goshalak
6. Gandhi – Nehru
7. Narendra Modi – Amit Shah
8. Mukesh Ambani – Anil Ambani
9. Amitabh Bachchan – Abhishek Bachchan.
If you see the above pairs – if you remember the first
person – the second person will always come to your memory. The second person may
or may not be equally successful then the first person but just because he was
associated with the first person – he is still alive in the memory of people
even after 1000s of generations have passed on. In many cases – the second person
happens to the enemy of the first person – average performer in his life but
just because he was associated with the first person – people remember him or
her.
So, the life of the memory of the second person is as
long as the first person’s memory is alive in the people’s mind.
In a way -their memory has become immortal in the
people’s mind, thanks to their association with the first person.
How to apply this in Investing?
I am not as Visionary – Gutsy as Steve Jobs / Dhirubhai
Ambani or Elon Musk. So, what? I don’t have to worry at all. I just have to be
part of their company as their share holder. I will get the benefit in the same
proportion as they are getting as per my share holdings. The point is – you don’t
have to be super skilful, visionary with leadership quality. If you just have
the common-sense – you can achieve what these legendary guys have achieved in
terms of financial growth.
How Intelligent people lack the common-sense?
In the times of super specialization and so-called
smart education and thinking – normal people lack the common-sense. They are easy
target by the vested interest people. The most educated people are not open to
the new ideas and common-sense approaches to the life / wealth creations and happiness.
I was reading about the world-famous scientist. He had
two cats – one big and one small. They used to go to the kitchen for the food.
Since the house was big – the cats needed to walk a long distance. So,
scientist called up carpenter to make the hole in the kitchen wall. He asked the
carpenter to make 2 holes. One for the big one and another for the little one.
The carpenter thought for a moment and said OK. He did one big hole and said the
work is done. Scientist said – I asked you to do the 2 holes and you have done
just one.
The carpenter took both the cats by hand. He passed the
bigger one from the Hole and then smaller one. Now, the scientist was laughing
on himself for his lack of common-sense and paid in full to the carpenter.
Something like this is happening with the educated
people around us. They become intelligent without common-sense.
Have a great investing.
