Let us learn from Big B – Amitabh Bachchan about two Important Ingredient of Success

Dear Fellow Travelers,

Namaste! There is N number of fans of Big B and they are his fan for a reason. He gave all his viewers a lot of hopes that they can also go to the top from a poor background through his N number of movies. In fact, his movies have the best repeat telecast value even today when you compare them with other actors.

What are the two ingredients?

The first is Jugaad. Average Indian is Ph.D. when it comes to Jugaad. He is unbeatable when he is compared with citizens of other countries. India is famous for Jugaad. If you say something is not possible due to law or some other reasons – there are people who will make it possible for you from the back door. You name the area and we have a proven track record at the world level to make it possible.

1.   Look at the movie Trishul – Vijay went to meet R K Gupta without an appointment. He refused to meet him. So, Vijay said – by not meeting me for 5 minutes, you have lost Rs.5 lakhs. What will R K Gupta do? – he called him immediately for a meeting. This is the best example of Jugaad.

2.   Many film strugglers have used the time in LIFT to talk to the producer or musician for their success. One musician went to the toilet and gave the audition while the famous music director came to relax his pressure.

3.   One Gujarati went to London for the first time. He didn’t know English and he wanted to go out to catch the Taxi. So, he started shouting – Khari Sing (Pea Nuts) – Bharuch Ni Khari sing. Hearing this –other Gujarati got shocked and came to him – why the hell you are shouting Khari sing? He said – thanks. Please guide me to go to this address. I was wondering how to find fellow Gujarati from so many people. Khari Sing is the only idea I could think about.

There are N number of such examples we find around us from our fellow Indians on how they found their way to come out of their difficult situations?

If we are such street smart – how come we have not progressed in so many years? Because we have not used the other ingredient.

The other ingredient is Junoon: -

Big B has given enough dialogues to give you Junoon and passion instantly. His dialogues like - Rishtey me to hum tumhare Baap Hote hey / Main 5 lakh ka Sauda karne aya hu or meri jeb me futi kodi nahi hey / Don ko Pakadana Mushkil hi nahi, Namumkin hey / Hum jaha khade hote hey, line wahi se shuru hoti hey.

Can you see his Angry Young Man character movies were super hit in his time?

We lack the Junoon as a country. Jugaad makes us the smartest in the world but without the support of Junoon – we are not progressing. All our Jugaad is for paltry things. I know quite a few people who uses their smartness to find out something FREE from online shops or some discount for their grocery purchase and petty things like that.
They focus all their intelligence to save money by bargaining and things like that.

Say a person is earning Rs.25000 per month. If he tries saving this money – the maximum he can save is Rs.25000. Am I right? If he does that – how will he eat and pay for his day-to-day expenditures? Let us assume – he used his Jugaaad and his expenditures were sponsored by his Father in Law in that month – so he saved Rs.25000. Can he become crorepati by saving attitude? No.

By saving money you can’t create wealth. You need to invest your money and to invest your money – you need Junoon. Remember his dialogue - Main 5 lakh ka Sauda karne aya hu or meri jeb me futi kodi nahi hey – agar aap muje ye jamin bechte hey to 15 din main aapko paise de sakta hoo.

This is Junoon.

Last year on 2^nd May – I had given a bold call for Nifty touching 12100 in 5 months. Nifty moved up by 50% from the May levels in just 5 months. Do you think small guys came to the market at that time? No. They came in October when the nifty was above 11500 approx. They are always late to come to the market due to lack of Junoon.

The problem with Junoon: -

Jugaad is a skill. Indians have learned from generation to generation. Junoon is an emotion. It can’t be faked or copied. Either you have it or you don’t have it. Junoon is like love – you love somebody or you don’t love somebody. If you fake it – you will get caught someday or the other.

How to develop Junoon?

You take a child from a mother and run away. What will the mother do – she will run after you or kill you without hesitation if you hurt her child.

Junoon can’t be triggered with logic. It can only be triggered with the emotions.

To trigger Junoon – you need to have a lot of emotions towards your GOALS / DREAMS and DESIRES. They are your emotional KIDS. If something goes against your GOALS – you will become full of JUNOON and take the fast and furious actions. Those who are living because they are not dying – they will not understand this concept.
