TCS is reorganizing its business at 53 age. What
about you?
Dear
Fellow Investors,
Namaste!
The top-secret of progressive-minded people and companies are coming out in
public. Those who are alert will learn from the same. After a big plan of Reliance to launch a Green Power plant by
2030, the next company is TCS. It has announced to double its turnover by 2030
with the help of top consultants. It is ready to re-organize the business at the age of 53. Yes, TCS is 53 years young.
What is TCS?
The
biggest IT company in India and the most successful company also. It is ready
to change its ways of working so that it can double the turnover in the coming 8
years. Double business in 8 years!! What it took to reach 53 years, it wants to
double it in the next 8 years. This is a Vision. This is Guts to see the Dream.
They are working on the MAP towards the same now.
Why 45-55 is the best age to take a big risk?
The normal person starts working between 20-25. By the time he/she reaches 45-55, they
would have completed the 20-30 years of working. They would have got married
and their kids would also have started their career and many kids would have
got married also.
Whatever
craving was there for money/love and family would have fructified by the age
of 50. They would have also come to know about their good and bad qualities, their
mistakes and their achievements. They would have also known about their potential
and what they can do now? They would also have some surplus money to take risks.
At 50, a person is supposed to have very good self-knowledge and it is time to take a big leap.
What do NORMAL people do?
Looking
at the above advantages, ideally, life should begin at 50. But NORMAL people talk about retirement and what
is the NEED of doing something new kind of things. In fact, I am seeing young
guys of 35-40 after working in a company for 5-8 years are not ready to think
beyond the JOB and Retirement planning. They want to live in their circle of
comforts.
What happens to these kinds of people?
They
are so used to their comforts that they don’t focus on developing new skill
sets or learning new things or reading new books. I know quite a few successful
top executives – who are not ready to invest their own money to attend any new
skill sets program. Their typical arguments – whenever needed company will provide
us.
When
the situations like COVID come or online marketing company takes over the business
of the offline shops – they suddenly wake up in PANIC. Now they want to do
something, but since they are in PANIC and URGENCY – they fail or they end up losing a big amount in those experiments.
The
best time to change is when you really don’t need to change. Most normal
people only change when they are forced by the situations to change.
What one should learn from Mukesh Bhai?
He
started with Petroleum. Then he went for Reliance Mobile. In the partition, his
brother took his mobile dream. He started with Reliance Retail. Then he went to
JIO again in 2011. Now he is talking about Green Power for 2030.
He
has tons of people to do his work but don’t you think he would have been
upgrading his skillsets and learning constantly? Had he not been learning new
things – it would have been difficult for him to do new businesses with
convictions.
No
doubt – Reliance has proved their tag line – Growth is Life.
What NEXT?
Do
you just want to exist till you die or grow till you die? Your answer to this
question will decide your action plan.
