JEFF BEZOS said, “AMAZON will go BANKRUPT one day”. What it means for Success Minded Investors?

Greetings from Hitesh! Can you remember in last 30 years of Indian Corporate Culture – CEO or MD saying his company will fail some day? I am sure you would never have heard. In fact, you would have heard the other way around. The fail guys would say we are not failed yet e.g. ESSAR group said they are ready to pay all debts, once NCLT took over and LAXMI MITTAL gave an offer. We have more of a cheater management than honest management.

JEFF BEZOS has always talked about Day 1 technology. He believes that today is the first day for everything. So, use your first day energy – hope / excitement and fear to take you to the peak of performance. On 19^th April,2017, I had written a detailed post on DAY 1 technology. What JEFF said in a RECENT Meeting with STAFF?

Amazon will go bankrupt one day, Jeff Bezos, the CEO of the e-commerce giant told his employees in a stunning admission.

Bezos made the statement at an all-hands meeting last Thursday in Seattle when an employee asked him about Amazon's future.

"Amazon is not too big to fail...In fact, I predict one day Amazon will fail. Amazon will go bankrupt. If you look at large companies, their lifespans tend to be 30-plus years, not a hundred-plus years," CNBC quoted Bezos as saying.

The goal of everyone at Amazon is to "prolong that demise" Bezos said. He further added that this can be achieved by the company to "obsess over customers"-something he has said in the past as well.

"If we start to focus on ourselves, instead of focusing on our customers, that will be the beginning of the end. We have to try and delay that day for as long as possible," he said.
What BUDDHA had said about BUDDHISM?

BUDDHA never gave DIKSHA / SANYAS to women for years. It was only given to MEN. After lot of persuasion and request by people of his time, he agreed to initiate women into BUDDHISM. He formed various rules for the same. But he said – BUDDISM would die in coming 500 years. Same thing happened, and Buddhism died in India. It did spread in the world over, but the form of Buddhism changed, and original thing is not alive today.

How SUCCESS MINDED INVESTORS see their INVESTMENTS?

They see their investment as loss from the day one. Now, you may ask why investment is a loss? Investment is done with surplus income and you do for wealth creation or to meet some unexpected emergencies in your life or to take care of you in your retirement.

In the most cases, the guy leaves the earth leaving behind his wealth for his heirs. This way – all investments are losses ultimately. 

Guys like Buffett or Rakesh go for a donation of major part of their wealth. That is also a LOSS.

If the END is LOSS, then when and what to ENJOY?

Jeff Says – use each day as the 1 day. This is more positive then STEVE JOB’s – today is the LAST day theory.

When you live each day as a FIRST DAY, you will be your best. Remember the day you went for your FIRST DATE / FIRST day of job / first day in all your endeavours so far.

If you have mastered the FIRST DAY TECHNOLOGY as said by JEFF (you must read my old post as given above), you will enjoy NOW. Your will enjoy your work / your process / your journey / your doing. You will play each day. The best part of playing is that you end up enjoying more rather than worrying for winning or losing.

Beauty of these PHIRANGI guys: -

Listen or Read BUFFETT / STEVE JOB/ JEFF or any other guys of your choice. If you have studied Indian Scripture, and you are still confused about interpretation of GITA / MAHAVIR or BUDDHA – these guys are using the same in their day today life.

These PHIRANGIs would not have studied them or heard about them, in many cases, but they talk about the same in their own way. They are living the principles given in our scriptures.

Most of our INDIAN normal guys – will worship their respective scriptures rather than studying and living by it. This is the reason for our DEVELOPING COUNTRY status.
