Simple definition of madness is to keep on doing the same thing and expect a different result. You are about to start a New Year and I just wanted you to look at every aspect of your life and investments and work on them from new perspective and new purpose. If you can’t do that there will be a little difference between the New Year and Past Years! Now let me deal with you a good learning lesson from the Ace Investor Mr.Rakesh Jhunjhunwala.

How Mr.Rakesh Lost Rs.550Crs.?

As said by him on CNBC Awaaz – he bought flat worth of Rs.27 Crs in 2004 by selling shares of Crisil in 2004. Today the same flat can fetch about Rs.125Crs. But had he hold the shares – it would have been worth about Rs.625 Crs!! What’s more he also lost about Rs.40Crs in Tax Free Dividend. So, effective loss is about Rs.550 Crs.!!

What are the Keys?

Patience, patience and patience is the key to the successful investment. They say – “Invest right and sit tight!!” Most guys do not sit tight and they miss the real growth in their assets prices. You need to think real long term when you deal with the growing companies and equities as an asset class.
