5% commission or 4% partnership – What is your choice?
Dear
Fellow Investors,
Namaste!
Pushpa – the Rise Part - 01 is the talk of the town movie nowadays. Srivalli
song or the item song of Samantha in which she is rumoured to have been paid
Rs.5 Crs for 3 minutes dance. Some creative people have developed a management course
from the learning from the movie. I am an investor and I want to discuss important
points for investment success.
Answer
this –
5% commission or 4% partnership – What is your choice?
The
difference between 4 and 5 is 25%. It means if you select – 4% instead of 5% -
your return will be lower by 25%. Simple. Hero was offered a 5% commission for
doing the wood smuggling but he asked for a 4% partnership, which was gladly
accepted. The guy who offered was surprised; the right hand of the HERO was
also surprised. But HERO revealed the truth – with the partnership – I will be
an owner of the business and with the commission, I will be a servant. With the
ownership – he will have access to the top bosses and he will sit with them.
His
vision paid him rich dividends and he became a 50% partner in a short time.
Are you a TRADER or OWNER when you buy the stocks?
This
is the same as the above proposition. Most investors enter the stock with a
very narrow view to buying some stocks – sell at profit and get out. They don’t want
to take the pain of the business cycle or the businessman. Their inner greed
and motive make them think very short term. They are always on the lookout for
newer ideas. The market knows their short-term view and it takes them for a ride
big time. They are the ones who give their money in terms of profit to the
seasoned owner businessmen over a period of time.
Permanent Happiness V/s. Time Being Happiness: -
When
you know - you are the owner – who cares for the price of the shares. You are
happy from the day you became the owner. How many of you calculate the market price
of your home on daily basis? Nobody. The same way when you have the owner attitude
for the share you hold – you don’t worry about the price in the short term.
Traders
become happy or unhappy on daily basis or hourly basis depending on the price
movement of their shares. Very few traders take money home.
What NEXT?
This
is just a movie but teaches a very important investment lesson.
Make
your choice.
Wish you all a very happy weekend.
