Will you take 50 years to decide to spend an extra USD 27 while purchasing a car?

Dear Fellow Travelers,

Namaste! Thanks a ton for making our post on Bill Gates a Super Hit. People have liked and appreciated the same. Thanks a Ton for being a regular reader. Today let me ask you a simple question as mentioned above. What will be your reply? I am sure you would say – you will not take even 5 minutes to decide. But read the historical fact and decide.

Ford Car and Sear Belts: -

Thirty-seven thousand Americans died in car accidents in 1955, six times today’s rate adjusted for miles driven.

Ford began offering seat belts in every model that year. It was a $27 upgrade, equivalent to about $190 today. Research showed they reduced traffic fatalities by nearly 70%.

But only 2% of customers opted for the upgrade. Ninety-eight percent of buyers preferred to remain at the mercy of inertia.

Things eventually changed, but it took decades. Seatbelt usage was still under 15% in the early 1980s. It didn’t exceed 80% until the early 2000s – almost half a century after Ford offered them in all cars.

It’s easy to underestimate how social norms stall change, even when the change is an obvious improvement. One of the strongest forces in the world is the urge to keep doing things as you’ve always done them because people don’t like to be told they’ve been doing things wrong. Change eventually comes, but at a very slow pace than you may imagine. 

Success Mantra: -

You may not have the power of vision or imagination like some super successful people in the world. It’s okay. But once you know that there are better ways to do what you do or there are better alternatives or options are available – can’t you be in the first 2%?

Just make fast 2% changes in the areas of your Personality, your approach to your resources, your abilities to use your resources. If you are still smarter, then make your house/office Vaastu Complaint and explore your personal destiny for holistic growth.

Remember – you don’t have to Invent the Wheel, you just have to Use the Wheel as fast as it is out in the market.

If you are fast to change your way of working by just 2%, you will be ahead of the masses by 50 years. To give you the perspective of 50 years - it's two generations. Do you want to wait that long?
