I Love You. Do You Love Me? Dilemma of Small Investors.

Greetings from Hitesh! My last post was an attempt to bring home the point about our attitude towards living in SHADOW / SECURITY and COMFORT. All are good but than you will not die as an innovator / contributor or world changer!! You can choose what you feel right for you and its 100% okay also. No need to feel guilty if you can’t come out of your comfort levels. It may be the design of Destiny. Just enjoy the same.

Today I am going to deal with the most important feelings in Human life. Yes, I am going to talk about LOVE.

I Love You.

This is most normal feeling you would have experienced for somebody / something and would have expressed also. Many times you would have felt for more than one person or things and shared with them also. Like To Err, To LOVE is Human. You can’t stay without loving somebody/some idea / something or even your DOG. The great German Philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer used to love his dogs the most. To love is 100% natural for Humans. However, the second part – DO YOU LOVE ME? - is the root cause of all the misery.

Do you Love Me?

Mulla Naseeruddin’s father was taking last breadth and he advised Mulla that with Money you would not be able to buy the Happiness. Mulla was mulla at young age also. He replied – “You are right dad. But with Money I can choose the most beautiful Misery who is agreeable to me!!”

To convert your LOVE into a RELATIONSHIP is the start of MISERY and you do it with the above QUESTION – DO YOU LOVE ME?

Love is NATURAL and RELATIONSHIPS are MAN MADE. It can never be perfect. So, if the answer is NEGATIVE – you get immediate pain. If the answer is POSITIVE – you get lifetime of pain.

How does this IMPACT your Investments?

Like LOVE – to take risk is also a natural feeling. But when you take RISK – expect all your RISK must generate adequate and quick returns are Unnatural. Most investors come to the market with the love of RISK. They enjoy also. Many come to Speculate and they enjoy that also. Because to take risk or speculate are 100% natural.

By linking the RETURN to your RISK – you are sabotaging your natural flow. When your Natural Flow is affected – you get away from TRUTH. When you are not with the TRUTH – you find out the short cuts / try to manipulate the things in your favor and all these will eventually lead to Unhappiness in life.

SATYAM, SHIVAM, SUNDARAM are the WAY:-

Satyam is the first step of doing anything. Find out whatever you can about your investment proposal / company or business before you invest a penny. This is known as FACT FINDING in management. This is TRUTH part. Satyam will tell you what the company has done in the past / what the company is doing in the present. It can answer all possible questions to you about the company’s past and present.

Shivam is your Feelings about the TRUTH. SHIVAM is about NURTURING your investments. Here you do the investments and monitor it.  SATYAM might have generated some expectations – SHIVAM will give you the glimpses of the same.

Sundaram is an ART. You have seen the TRUTH / you have taken the Action but now you see the investment as a PLAY – rather than linking it with RETURN. Whole investment is a play for you. You are in the state of WONDER. You are in love with your investments and your main focus is being with the investment rather than return from the investments.

100% of the time, I have observed that if I have started with the TRUTH in the first place – I will never have to worry about RETRUN in the end – do not believe me. Just try yourself and see the fun.
