Namaste! Let me take to the basic issues of the normal investors – He comes to make money in the market and suffers the losses. He wants to become successful and ends up in a deep mess. If you study the N number of people around you – you will find that they had all the qualities for success but still they could not get what they wanted. Today I am dealing with the psychological secret of Karna’s defeat to bring home the point.

What KARNA did?

He was not interested in becoming a charoite driver like his father. He wanted to become a fighter and become the king. He was very ambitious. So, he went to Parshuram as a Brahmin and got the technology from him free of cost.

While doing his study – back of the mind he was aware of two facts – he was not a brahmin and he was learning this technology to become the king. It means he was using his education as a stepping stone for the goal of becoming a king. It means Education was secondary to him.

So, his mind was always focusing on 3 aspects – his lying to his guru / his goal of becoming the king and his learning.

Because of this objective, his mind was not 100% focused on learning. Since he was not Total - the learning did not become the NATURE of his SOUL. Learning was one of the factors along with the goal and cheating with the Guru. Have you seen colour of your dresses fade over time? Why? Because the colour is not the original nature of the cloth. We have coloured it and when it passes through Sun, colour fades.

Anything you are doing or learning as a stepping stone or a secondary, it doesn’t become your NATURE. When it’s not your nature – it can’t take you very far in your life.

Why PARSHURAM curse worked?

There is no way you can forget what you have learned with 100% focus. It will become your nature. But Parshuram knew this psychological secret of Karna and he gave Curse that you will forget whatever you have learned when you really need it.

When their mind is thinking about the profit – they are not total while investing. They have profit as a major target and buying a company’s share is secondary. Ideally, the company should have been the primary and profit as a secondary.

So, they don’t do the proper due diligence while investing in a company. Since they know this secret deep down – they get panicked when the market falls by few points.

Why Goal Achievement and Happiness do not go hand in hand?

I have paid lakhs of rupees to learn from Western Gurus. They love the Goal Setting – strategy – planning – execution and achievement.

When you do this – you will surely end up making your targeted money or results but you will not get the happiness for sure.

Your mind was fragmented while going towards the goal, so, it will be fragmented after you achieve the goals. A fragmented mind can never give you happiness. You need a total mind.

He is too much focused on the company and its fundamentals. He is not worried about prices and goals and beating the market. All he is thinking is to buy the good company at a fair price. He is sure that price is a slave of performance. If the performance is good, the price will join sooner or later.

He is total while studying. He is total while investing. He is total while holding and he is total while selling.

He booked the loss of USD 5.4 billion or something last year by selling Air Lines stocks. He was total. He did not sell partially.

What Next?

You can have your role model either Karna or Krishna. Karna means success / shortcuts and tons of money by cheating. Krishna means Success + Happiness and Freedom from life and birth cycle.
