After a long time, I have watched a MOVIE which can be applied to investment success. Let us deal with that today. Somehow, I was waiting for this movie. The movie is about three characters – VICKY / RUMI and ROBBIE. Kind of LOVE triangle. Apparently, expected FLOW of events and EXPECTED HINDI CINEMA ENDING. But, you can feel the touch of ANURAG KASHYAP.

1.  VICKY and RUMI: - They are MADLY in love with each other and they can’t stay without meeting each other daily in BEDROOM. Passion is the only thing which brings them together and they are not worried for the society with their way of relationships.

Lesson for TRADER / INVESTORS: - You must have passion for your trading / investing activities on daily basis. You may have loss, or you may have profits. But you should be engaged in them on daily basis.

2. RUMI’s Word to GET MARRIED to ANYBODY if VICKY says NO.

Once VICKY and RUMI are caught in BED ROOM by RUMI’s family, RUMI gave a word that she will marry anybody if VICKY does not marry her the next day.

Vicky is not ready for the marriage and marriage is fixed with ROBBIE.

If you see RUMI’s behaviour to go back to VICKY / try to RUN AWAY with VICKY / Meeting VICKY during engagement night / waiting for him to run away on previous night of MARRIAGE / Keeping in touch with VICKY while in HONEYMOON and coming after HONEYMOON/ Sleeping with VICKY after marriage / keep on meeting VICKY – is nothing but MIND GAME.

Normal investor’s mind operates like RUMI. They buy something, then wait for it to go up. If it does not go up, they sell it and buy something else. Now, they want to cover the loss of the first one. So, they buy again that company and again sell in loss. They keep on doing this with their portfolio and ends up in FRUSTRATION like Rumi.

3.  ROBBI’s Behaviour: - He likes her from the day one and wants to marry her. He has been cautioned by family about the BAD image of the RUMI. He did his own research on FACEBOOK but still he wants to marry her.

He marries her and kept silently watching RUMI. He did not interfere with her life. He just gave space to her. He was fully aware what RUMI is doing. RUMI starts feeling GUILT and ask him – why he is not asking any questions to her? RUMI calls him MONK.

He too gets frustrated when he listens VICKY asking RUMI – who do you see when you close your eyes while making love? RUMI remains silent, but ROBBIE understands otherwise and goes for divorce.

After DIVORCE signature – ROBBIE walks with RUMI to drop her to her house and while walking he shares why he became like MONK. RUMI also answers all his pending questions to ROBBIE and ultimately, they decide to reunite.

Please excuse me for such a long narrative of ROBBIE. But it is necessary to describe events, so, all the qualities of SEASONED investor can be understood.

1.  He did his own research before going ahead with the girl. Seasoned investors do their own research despite getting ready made ideas.

2.  He was sure (call it intuition) that this girl can’t be with VICKY for long. Seasoned investors become sure that the VALUE of a company is much higher that the current price it is traded.

3.  He had the HASBAND MATERIAL and he was aware of the same. He took advantage of this quality. For investors – this is your HOLDING CAPACITY. He buys them and holds, irrespective of volatility of price (akin to RUMI’s post marriage behaviour).

4.  He allowed RUMI to behave the she wants only to make her realise that VICKY is BAD CHOICE for her as HUSBAND. In the final departure – RUMI tells VICKY that he is not a HUSBAND MATERIAL and she wishes to be with ROBBIE. This is the judgement of SEASONED investors that one day the share prices will move up, till that time he remains invested or keeps adding it.

All throughout, the history and even today we are made to believe that by doing, you will become. We have been told to read / chant / pray what JESUS / MOHAMMAD / KRISHNA / RAM had said so that some day we will become like them. The TRUTH is 100% opposite.

RUMI wanted to leave his lover automatically, once she got the HUSBAND MATERIAL.

If you see RUMI as a FLUCUATING MIND, it got his permanent place (call it BLISS) when he got the real HASBAND (the GOD).

Same way when you get to the spiritual height, all your BAD HABITS will leave you automatically. By leaving BAD HABITS, you will not reach to the SIPIRITUAL HEIGHTS.
