What is the RIGHT time to take a BIG RISK in the Share Market?

Namaste! For all serious investors – we had shared two posts in the last two days. One was – Follow the 7 steps on Friday and the other was 4 must-do things in 2022 yesterday. They are a must-read – if you really want to make big money from your investments or business or profession. Reading above the question has come from a reader – he wants to bet big in the market. He asked me what is the right time to take a risk in the share market? Though this question appears to be NON-ANSWERED so far – but we have answered the same in the above 7 steps. However, in this post, we are showing you step by step guide.

Before you take BIG-RISK, these are the 3 steps you must follow.

1.   VISION: -

The first principle of the BUFFETTLOGY Book was - Before buying a stock, it is important to first determine what you want to own, understand why you want to own it and then wait for a   good price.

This is a PART of VISION. You need two visions while you invest – PERSONAL and MARKET.

Why do you want to invest? What asset classes do you want to invest in? What are your GOALS? What is your guiding principle behind what you are doing NOW? What will be your holding period? These are the questions related to your PERSONAL VISION.

In the book - SEVEN HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE – STEPHEN COVEY tells this in his way – BE PROACTIVE and BEGIN WITH END IN MIND.

90% of the investors are not SERIOUS about this at all and this is the step which is having the 90% of the weightage in your success in investing or life.  

Once you are equipped with the PERSONAL VISION – you should be aware of MARKET VISION.

What are the available opportunities in the market? Which asset classes are going to do better in the coming time? Which companies are better placed to take the advantage of them? How will be the market MOOD in the coming 3-5 years? How it will be in the coming 10-15 years?

From our side – we had categorically predicted a golden period for the Indian Economy and Country as a whole from the year 2014 (68^th Independence Birthday) to 2032 (86^th Independence Birthday) in 2012. Unless you don’t have this kind of crystal-clear vision – you can’t become a big investor. We are bullish on India as a country and as an investment destination.

The way the USA is doing investments in INFRASTRUCTURE – the economy is going to create a lot of genuine business in the coming 5-10 years. This is going to benefit the USA stock market at the GRASS ROOT levels. This gives me a lot of inner confidence and holding capacities in the USA market for the long term. We are very bullish on USA market also.

CRYPTO ETF is the in-things. India is also in the process to classify it as an asset class. This will make it a legally acceptable asset class. The way they are moving – for TRADERS – this is a good asset class to trade without worry.

This is OUR MARKET VISION. We combine this with our PERSONAL VISION and plan out investments for the Short term and Long term.

This is 90% of your SUCCESS. 90% of the FAILED investors LACK any VISION for whatever they are doing in their lives and investments.

2.   INTELLIGENCE:  -

Vision needs implementation. How to do it and when to do it aspects? These are your resources and your abilities to use your resources and information. This is also a STEP to do FACT FINDINGS or RESEARCH your investment ideas.

You will be excellent in this step only and only when you are clear with your VISION as mentioned above.

Those who are not clear with the 1^st step – they will become inconsistent – defocused – frustrated when they execute their ideas or with the market ups and downs. When they are inconsistent – defocused – they are easy to be manipulated by the market sharks or the pump and dump operators.

Since they lack PERSONAL VISION - they are always in search of SHORT-TERM benefits and they are the ones who are taken for a ride by Market Sharks.

3.   RISK-TAKING: -

This is a by default step. In the movie ENTER the DRAGON – BRUCE LEE said - And when there is an opportunity, I do not hit. It hits all by itself. 

If you have VISION – INTELLIGENCE – you will not be needed to take BIG RISK when the opportunity knocks. You will automatically take BIG RISK.

How NORMAL INVESTORS works?

They are not clear about the first two. All they are doing is – they will invest more – if they are sold the idea by MEDIA GUYS that this stock or this asset class is going to do the best in the coming time.

Once they invest based on MEDIA – and shares or asset classes go down – they will panic and start doing RESEARCH. So, after the 3^rd step – they will take the 2^nd step. When they do RESEARCH – they come to know about the VISION of the operators behind that asset class up move.

In short, normal investors operate REVERSE from the SMART investors.

When you don’t have your vision and you are not ready to spend on research – all you have to rely on BELIEF or NON-BELIEF. Another funny aspect of them is – they believe in somebody as long as he goes right. When the guy goes wrong – he will go to another extreme of NON- BELIEF. Now, they will find out NEW BELIEF in somebody. This way they end their life without being FOCUSED on anything or any major goals.

This behaviour is the best behaviour for CON-ARTIST of the market. They run one company after another and the HEARD of investors flock to that ideas. Once the investors come into their ideas – CON-ARTIST will dump that and move to the new idea.

All NORMAL investors are the source of BIG MONEY making for the SMART investors.
