Sacrifice and Struggle always comes first before Success in any dictionary

Dear Fellow Travellers,

Namaste! The current week was really sad for India and the Indian people. We have lost our first CDS in Helicopter Crash. While it might have affected our morals in the short term – I am sure, we will bounce back towards success in the times to come. Today I am taking the burning topic of our time. Success without Sacrifice and Struggle. Let me share some examples.

1.   Buy Now Pay Later Cards are introduced in India. It means you can buy anything NOW, enjoy it and pay later in installments. What’s more – if you can’t pay – you can use some other cards and transfer the balance and that way you can reschedule your payments.

2.   1 in 5 kids are taking birth through the C section in India. This is the highest in the world.

3.   Normal marriages are celebrated after DATING / LIVE IN for some years and then the marriages are celebrated. Sometimes the KIDS are also part of the parent’s marriage.

4.   Don’t wait to make your own house till 50. Take a home loan and settle down in the 30s and pay in 15-20-25 years installments.

5.   No need to cook food in the home. Just order online or call and food will be delivered to your place.

6.   No need to learn the intricacies of investing. Just give your money to Mutual Funds and they will earn for you.

I am surprised that people want everything at the speed of thought and without struggle. Their demand is unnatural and impractical. But when you have the demand – there are people to make you believe that you can do that and they are ready to supply you whatever you want at the speed of your thought.

The supplier wants you to believe that if you get something FAST and EASY – you will be HAPPY. Normal people are made to believe that if they are sacrificing or struggling towards their goal – they are FOOLS.

In reality, people go through miseries of a lifetime to pay the installments. They are the FOOLS according to BUFFETT school. Let us see how?

How the mind works once you get what you want?

You buy a new mobile and you see some other model has come – you feel outdated. You feel – you should also change to the new model. This is applicable to CAR / HOUSE / SPOUSE and almost anything and everything we are using. This is how the human mind works. Now, let us take two scenarios.

Enjoy Now and Pay Later and Sacrifice and Struggle now and Enjoy Later.

There is a lot of difference. Understand this.

Enjoy Now and Pay Later: -

You are bored with your product now as the new one is available in the market or you have an offer from the new sources. Since you have not settled the account for the present product – you can’t change it. What’s more – you have to pay for them each month in installments while looking at the new models which are coming into the market. The whole payment process takes away the excitement and ecstasy to own the product. People STRUGGLE to pay unhappily.

Sacrifice and Struggle now and Enjoy Later: -

The person sets the goal for having something. Each month he is accumulating some money towards his goal and each year he feels happy that he is going near to his goal. He sees many models coming and going in the process and he feels happy that he will be buying the latest whenever he buys. Since he has sacrificed and struggled to own that product – he will have a lot of inner confidence to own that thing. Since he has sacrificed a lot and struggled for his thing – his confidence in himself will also move up. There will not be any struggle for payment as the payment is paid in full.

Everybody has to pay the price: -

Whichever is your way from the above – you will have to pay the price over and above money.

In the case of BUY NOW PAY LATER – you are paying the price in terms of Money + Interest + Tension to pay + Boredom to have that thing.

In the case of Sacrifice and Struggle Now and Enjoy Later – you are paying the price in terms of Money + Excitement to go towards your goal each day + Happiness to buy the latest model.

If you follow the second way – you save tons of money on Interest. Medical bills as you will have no tension to pay back and boredom will be replaced by excitement to own the things.

Decide – which price you want to pay?

Remember: - SUCCESS always comes after SACRIFICE and STRUGGLE in any dictionary.
