TOILET EK PREM KATHA & INVESTMENT EK GHEHRI VYATHA

Greetings from Hitesh! It was un-imaginable to make a movie on toilet and that movie can also collect Rs.100 Crs plus. But it has happened. If properly understood TOILET can also bring love in ones life where as by not properly understanding INVESTMENT can also become VYATHA.

Let me deal with this movie and investment in my own style.

Indian Mentality of Jugaad:-

The movie is all about short cuts a normal guy looks out while dealing with the issues of his life.

1.    Hero falls in love with a GIRL and to make her 6 fingures girl – he uses GINGER FINGURE rather than fighting with his father who wanted a bride with 6 fingures for his marriage.

2.    After the first night when the village ladies knocks the window at 4am to invite ACTRESS for TOILET – HERO convinces her to socialize in LOTA PARTY. He also asks her to become leader of the LOTA GROUP.

3.    When she denies going to the lota party – he takes her to a home where there was a TOILET. She uses it for quite some days before realizing that it is creating a guilt in her mind to use somebody’s toilet like a THIEF.

4.    Now, the hero joins her in taking for the toilet only to be seen by her father in law. So, this also fails.

5.    Now, the HERO finds out the TRAIN STOPPAGE time and they start using TRAIN TOILET.

6.    One day the train starts and HEROIN LEAVES our HERO with a message that she will only come back if he builds the toilet in the house.

7.    Now, the social drama and family pressures starts but the HEROIN does not give up.

8.    One day the HERO steals the moving toilet from the FILM shootings and gets caught.

9.    In the JAIL he realizes that it’s a time to fight with the town and father for the toilet. He starts from PANCHAYAT and goes to the GOVERNMENT.

10.               With all the TROUBLES he finally gets the toilet in his house and his wife also comes back. He gets his love back.

Why Investment Becomes a VYATHA?

If you look at the first 8 events in the above list – you will see that HERO is in look out for the SHORT CUTS to solve the problems. He is not at all serious about the NEEDS of his wife and he claims that he loves her!!

Normal investor when he comes to market – is in look out for some short cuts like TIPS / some sure shot calls / quick money making idea / fund manager following or ace investor following / media following and things like that. The way our HERO believes that he loves his wife, normal investor also believes that HE CAN MAKE TONS of MONEY by taking all these steps

Realization V/s. Stoppage:-

HERO kept on trying one or the other method till he realizes that he is in some DELUSION that he can solve his toilet issue with some quick fix. He realizes that he loves more to social customs then the NEED of his wife. This brings the TRANFORMATION in his life and he decides to fight HOLISTICALLY with the society and government agencies.

Normal investor is not ready to go through such a large number of TRIAL and ERRORS. Most investors will stop between 3^rd steps to 5^th steps as per my experiences. They lose the ENTHUSIASM to INVEST. When they stop in between – they do not reach to the TIPPING POINT where success in investment becomes the questions of life and death.

They die with the belief that success in investment needs luck.

What is the main Issue with the NORMAL investor?

They are on the look out for RIGHT ways to do wrong things. They want to avoid the pain of LOSS and WAITING. They want to avoid the pain of learning investments from the scratch levels.

Whenever, I face the dilemma to chose between SHORT TERM PAIN and LONG TERM PLEAUSRE – I remember the famous dialogue of KADAR KHAN said to AMITABH in Muqaddar Ka Sikandar -  “Dukh ko apana Ley, Takdeer Tere Kadmo Me Hogi aur Tu Muqaddar Ka Badshah Hoga.”

What NEXT?

On an average a person works for 30 to 40 years post his education. With the advancement in medical treatment chances of having a bigger life span is more than shorter life span.
