Our Investment Strategy Post 16^th May 2014

Greetings from Hitesh! I am sure like whole India you must be eagerly waiting for 16^th May. If we go by the Exit polls, the results are expected to change the destiny of India. We will come to know the same by tomorrow evening. So, I think, let me deal with investment strategy post 16^th May?

As per our call, we saw lot of negative events in India and outside India. There was a problem in Assam, Train mishap in Raighad, Land Slide in Afganistan, War in Ukrain and the last could be the blast in Turkey Mines.

The point I am driving is……there are methods which can tell you the events in advance. Just take advantages of the same.

Let me share a beautiful story to deal with the normal investors and their destiny.

Story of 2 Buddhist Monks and An Old Boat Man.

After crossing the river, 2 Monks got down from the boat. They had to go to the town near river. It was around 5pm. They knew that the gates of the Town closes dot at the sunset and it remains closed till next day morning. So, they had to reach to the main gate before the sunset. Otherwise they would have to spend the night outside the town.

They asked the old boat man, how much time we will take to reach to the main gate?

The boat man, a very old person, said... “If you walk slowly, you will reach on time. But if you walk fast, you will not reach”. (Read again).

Listening to this, Monk thought boat man seems to be a foolish guy. If we can reach by walking slowly, we must reach early if we walk fast or run. So, they ignored the old man’s advice and decided to run.

After running for a while……the elder monk fell down. All his books got scattered. His leg was bleeding. He had terrible pain in the leg. Younger monk was trying to pacify the elder one. While they were sitting on the side….they show the old boat man coming to them. He was walking slowly.

Looking at the blood and scattered books….the old boat man said… “Didn’t I tell you to walk slow?”

Moral of the story:-

1.   However, appealing your logic may be……do not insist that market should also follow the same.

2.   What you see now……market would have already seen!! So, try to see what market will see NEXT?

3.   Just because your mind is unable to comprehend some logic, do not consider the person who sees it as foolish. Listen to him wholeheartedly.

4.   In fact, your mind is not able to agree logically, makes the strong case that you should atleast try and see what happens if you follow it!!

What about the Market post 16^th May?

We were telling our readers and investors friends about Mother of all Bull Run coming to Indian market since 2009. But like monks….they relied on their LOGIC. They relied on MEDIA. Many of the guys who listened to us in the early 2009 to 2011 started developing cold feet by the end of 2012!! They forgot the grand vision of 2014!!

When we look at our day today experiences like above two things happen to us.

1.          Our faith in our view of market shoots up like anything.

2.   Our faith in Destiny goes up. If it’s not in somebody’s Destiny, No amount of knowledge and information works.

Coming back to the call of market after 16^th May:-

We maintain our call of Teji. However, our focus is always on the specific businesses we invest in. We know that business makes the money and Market just reflect the same!!
