Namo Namo – “Tera Jadu Chal Gaya” – Interesting Lesson for Investment Success
Greetings
from Hitesh! Well celebration is going on. After a long time India seems to
have agreed on selecting a leader at the centre. Last time it did for Rajiv
Gandhi in 1984. This is the beauty of our time………you can also become or get
what you want. If you just apply some of the rules. What are they? Let me deal
with them from Investment Perspective. These are some quick thoughts.
Long Term Strategy:-
Modi was CM of Gujarat in 2004/2009. He could have participated in
Parliament election at that time. Did he? No. He did not do what Kejriwal did!!
He practiced his art at the state levels while making friends at the
centre levels. He patiently waited for the gaps at the centre level. When he
saw the gaps at the centre and his party, he jumped into the game.
While
investing also you should follow this. Start practicing with small amount (your
small can be different from your neighbour). Build on that. Find out your
mistakes and improve upon them while they are small. Find out the consultants and
friends who can help you in future. So, when you become big…they are there for
you.
Use of All Resources:-
While doing his campaign…he used all the resources and technology. How
many times in the past have you heard songs dedicated to the Leader participating
in an Election? There were lot of
support staff – seen and unseen - to help him win the game. He did not
have the money to pay for the same……so he found out the people who could pay
for HIM!!
In
investment game also…..you need to use all available resources and skill sets. You
need to be ready to pay for it or you need to find out somebody who can pay for
you. If you can not do either of it……you will not grow fast.
Leading from the Front:-
He was the only face you would have seen during last 6 months……Media
says he traveled 3 lakh km – 2500 km per day – while working for 14-15 hours a
day. Big results needs big efforts……if you want to avoid the big pain…do not
expect a big gain.
While
managing your investment along with your work or business, you need to take out
time to read about the companies you invest in. You need to keep yourself upto
date about the facts. You need to have the people who can do the same for you, if
you are not good in numbers. If you think all these are pains, you will end up
doing FD with the Bank.
Passion to Win:-
He did all of the above and many more things……because he had a deep
passion to win. A deep passion comes from deep pain. He had a deep pain of
coming from a lower middle class background……his pain fueled his passion every time.
His passion was so high that he became simply unstoppable.
You need
to have your pains….pains of past losses/pains of missed opportunity – to fuel
your passion about investments. Unless you have passion……you will not take
further pains to become successful at investments.
My Personal Call:-
A boy approached Sahbuddin Rathod – a famous HASYA ARTISTS, and
asked him – I want to become Hasya Artist like you. How can I
become?
Sahabuddinji
said – Show me your pains and I will show you a way to become Hasya Artist.
In
last 7 days Nifty moved from 6661 to 7626, a move of 1000 points. Sensex made
