Namaste! Exactly 9 years back on 26/01/2012 – we had discussed Indian Vaastu based on Vaastu principle in our post titled – “India of My Study….Have you ever seen this way before?” This post is still available on our blog. If you want to read about Indian Vaastu – you must read that post. Today I am going to deal with the Spiritual Aspects of Indian Vaastu.

Another change is coming is they are pulling out Rs.100 old notes from the market by March 2021.
I see this is just a beginning. The government will come out with many such ideas in the coming time.

Now let me share my original research on Indian Vaastu. I am sure nobody has talked about Indian Vaastu – the way I am going to deal now.
Observations of Spiritual Masters in India: -
If you go back to the history – India has given a lot of enlightened Rishis 1000s of years back / we have produced masters or God as we call in India for Hinduism / Jainism / Buddism / Sikhism / Bhakti Movements / Mystics / Gurus. Even today also people from the West come to India for Spiritual guidance and progress.
From the time you go back – India has been blessed with the birth of tons of spiritual masters. Even today also some of the masters like – Sadguru / Shree M and many hidden masters are active.
What are the qualities of Enlightened Masters?
Jesus has said – in my God’s Kingdom – only Childlike people are allowed. In Gita – 2nd chapter – Krishna has given a detailed perspective on the qualities of Enlightened Master. I will deal with them in simple words.
Typical qualities are they have transcended the mind. Indian Rishis have divided Mind into 4 parts and many other subparts. The main 4 parts are –
Mind - Emotions/desires or Vasna as we say.
Buddhi – Intellect/power to analyze and think.
Ahankar – Ego / Ambitions / Risk Taking abilities.
Chitta – Storage of results of the above 3 activities for future references.
The above 4 are interconnected. As long as 1 part is there – all other parts will come without fail. So, we don’t have a method to CONTROL the mind like Western Psychologists recommend. They are treating the Mind problem of people with Mind Techniques and they have failed terribly. So, they are taking the support of Sedatives to sleep the mind activities. This is very dangerous for a patient in the long run.
Our Masters suggest to transcendent the mind. When you transcendent the mind – all problems of emotions/expectations/ego/ambitions go away in fractions of the second.
How Indian Vaastu has helped Spiritual Growth?
As said in the last post – personal growth is a personal choice. So, growth in any area – spiritual or material – is your choice. Vaastu is there to support you and not to force you!!
As we know there are 10 directions - 4 main – East / West / North and South. 4 Sub directions – North East / South East / South West and North West. Balance two are Up and Down.
4 Sub direction represents 4 parts of the mind.
North East – Emotions / Desire
South East – Ego / Ambitions.
South West – Storage.
North West – Intellect.
Qualities of Indian Vaastu in the above 4 sub directions: -
We are seeing them from a SEEKER point of view. When you apply for material success – they become negative qualities.
North East: - We have a range of Himalayan Mountain covered with Snow. Most guys have gone over there to Meditate or do Penance. This has been the most attractive place for doing penance in olden time and current time too. This is one of the major supports for the Seekers to convert them into Masters. Ice is solid form of water.
South East: - We have the Bay of Bengal – water in South East. Southeast is a fire element and we have a Water element over there. This is the reason we have not been aggressive in 1000s of years. We have never attacked outside countries if you check our history. We have always defended and failed against foreign attacks, most of the time. This helps the seeker to become EGOLESS fast.
North West: - This is Air element. Buddhi is the result of Air element. We have Thar Deserts and 5 rivers like Sutlej / Ravi / Jhelum / Chenab and Beas are flowing in North West. Again, water element. It means - the way river flows towards Sea - intellect of Seekers becomes like Water and flows towards the Sea of Self-realisation.
South West: - We have the Indian Ocean in South West. As you go towards Southwest – Kerala – Area becomes smaller compared to North area. It means less and less Storage. Have you seen Major religious masters have asked for – Aprigraha - it means not to store anything?
What is Indian Vaastu Indicating?
There is a famous dialogue of Bruce Lee - “Empty your mind, be formless, be shapeless like water. If you put the water into a cup, it becomes the cup. If you put the water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. If you put the water into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, drip or can crash. Be water, my friend.”
Those who are seekers and want to speed up their journey – the help of Indian Vaastu is a must. History has proved this.
Why Great Rishis of India did not correct this Vaastu Fault?
Let me share the power of just one Indian Rishi – Agastya. Rishi’s are scientists in current parlance.
In Valmiki Ramayan, it is stated that Asurua hid inside the ocean so that the Devas couldn’t harm them. The Devas requested Rishi Agastya for help, and he drank the entire ocean using his austerity and mystic powers. The Devas killed the Asuras, and asked the sage to return the ocean’s water. The water was returned by river Ganga post penance of Bhagirath.
In some scriptures, it is stated that during Lord Shiva’s marriage,
everyone in the universe went to witness the event in the Himalayas in the
North. The Earth Goddess was not able to bear this misbalance and prayed
to Lord Shiva for help, who then told Agastya to go to the south end. Rishi
Agastya went to the south and the earth’s balance was restored. On one side
there was the entire universe and on the other side was Agastya, whose
austerity power and aura balanced the earth.
This is just one Rishi. If they would have wished – they would have corrected the fault of South East / South West and North West – instantly. But, out of compassion, they wanted to provide one solid place for Seekers, the world over, to uplift themselves and merge in the ocean of Self Realisation.
Importance of Vaastu for growth in Normal People’s life: -
In Gita, chapter 18, slok 13/14 Lord Krishna talks about the 5 factors
of success in any area. The first factor is Adhisthanam – it means Vaastu.
If your Vaastu is not supporting your Goal / Ambition / Desires – your
progress in your chosen direction will not be FAST. You will lack the ultimate happiness.
As such, Indian Vaastu is the most supportive of Spiritual Growth and not
Material Growth. So, those who want to succeed in Money / Power / Name / Fame
and Happiness for Senses – must work on their Individual Vaastu.
