Today I am going to share a secret of Warren Buffett investment style. Just read and try to understand the hidden factor of his success. Let us go back to history first.

Timur Lang known as Tamerlane or Timur the Lame ruled between the years 1360 to 1405. He attacked DELHI in 1398 and won it from Nasir Tughluk. After defeat King NASIR presented him an ELEPHANT and asked him to ride.     

Timur seat on elephant and when elephant got up – he asked where is LAGAM (REINS)? He was told Elephant does not have REINS, it is controlled by MAHOUT. He immediately ordered MAHOUT to make ELEPHANT seat down. After getting down – he was asked WHY you did not ride? His replied – I would not like to ride on ANIMAL whose REINS are not in my HAND!!

How does this relate to Mr.Buffett?

He is THE LONG TERM investor. He follows the same rule of TAMERLANE. He knows he can’t control MARKET and PRICES of SHARES but as long as he controls the company he invested in it – he has nothing to worry. All big investors – Ajay Piramal / Rakesh – they have controlling stakes in the company they invest – and that’s why they can sleep at night when market prices fluctuates two ways. How Normal Investors Behaves?

His total life is around MONEY. He studies so that he can get better paying JOB. He leaves his country / his near and dear and goes to ABROAD so that he can make little extra money.  He will not be ready to share his money with his brother. In fact, most fighting in family happens over money. He may not trust his wife over money matters. At times he can be really possessive about his money.

This kind of FELLOW  - when he comes to investment – he gives his money to some FUND MANAGER. He invests in Mutual Funds/ CHIT Funds / SAHARA kind of investments and all other investment vehicles where he is not in control of his money!!

What a Paradox?

You don’t TRUST your brothers/wife/your children and friends with your money – but you give it to unknown FUND!! It makes me laugh like anything.

Your boss controls you with MONEY. You go to JOB for Money. Your everyday life is around money and the same power you give it to some unknown guy when it comes to INVESTMENTS!!

What is the BEST Option?

You are the king of your HOUSE. Your Money is your CURRENCY to run your show. LEARN to control it. Learn how to invest. If you can’t control your financial destiny – somebody else will. So, better start learning investment.

During initial phases – you may not be successful as others. No issues. As long as CONTROL is in your hand, you will enjoy. Once you master the CONTROL over your money – you will be able to control everything – Money can!!

Normally it takes 3 years for a normal guy to be successful in any area. Management says it is 10000 hours. 3 years have 1000 days and multiply with 10 hours a day. You got your 10000 hours needed for SUCCESS in any area. That’s why most degree college is offered for 3 years and more.
