Why Billionaires Turns to Philanthropy?

Greetings from Hitesh! Today was a great day in market for our clients. We had given a bold call to sell last FRIDAY and Nifty Future went down by 160 points today morning and today morning we gave a buy call in Nifty Future and it went up by 110 points from our levels. Both the way they made tons of money.

Have you observed that the people with big money are talking about donations and Philanthropy. In fact, they have visited India to convince Indian Billionaires to do the same and many like Azim Premji has agreed to do his part.

Let us understand the MIND here:-

Day in and day out I am dealing with MARKET. Market is a collective mind and continues reading of it has given me a kind of EDGE to understand the mass behaviour. Purpose of this article is not to CRITICIZE or APPRECIATE anybody who is committing for DONATIONS. My purpose is to make you aware about the working of human mind.

If you understand this MIND – it will help you understand your mind and your life will be different as a result.

When a Normal Man Donates?

1.  They donate their leftover food.

2.  They donate their old or unfitted clothes.

3.  They donate when they get recognition in society.

4.  They donate when they are no longer going to use any particular thing. e.g. You donate NOKIA phone when you buy I-phone!

5.  They donate foods when they can’t eat due to medical reasons. E.g. You have got lot of sweets in DIWALI and you have Diabetes – so you give aware SWEETS to your friends/ relatives and neighbours.

6.  They donate to get the favour in some other form. E.g. donation in political parties leads to favours if your party comes to the power.

7.  They donate to hide the guilt of earning lot of money by abnormal ways.

8.  They donate just because they have many things and if they give little out of it to somebody – it does not matter. You have Rs.1 Cr and you are donating Rs.5000!!

There can be many other reasons for the same. However, most donations are done to get something in return (name/fame/recognition/SWARG/Sympathy).

Now, let us understand BIG Buys Donations:-

They are also NORMAL when it comes to Donations. They have bought all the things money can buy. Still they have LEFT OVER MONEY – which they know – they will not be able to spend in their life time!!

So, they try to buy SWARG / GOD / PUNYA / NAME out of their left over money. There is no qualitative difference between donation of LEFT OVER FOOD and LEFT OVER MONEY.

How does this affect your investment Performance?

If you are also donating with any of the above reasons – you have a hidden agenda in your mind when you do donations. When you have hidden agenda – you are not TRUTHFUL to yourself. When you are not TRUTHFUL to yourself – collective mind (MAREKET) knows this and it will also reward you with HIDDEN AGENDA. You will get big money – when you really do not NEED THEM and YOU WILL GET BIG LOSES when you really want to make big money!!

In my 25 years of experience as an investor and investment consultant – I have observed this phenomenon in general and in particulars with many clients of mine.

Real donations will always pinch you within. It is always of the things you need the most / like the most.

Just be aware about this next time you are planning to Donate and things will get clear for you.
