Breaking News - African Monkeys in Mumbai Zoo Are On Strike!!

Greetings from Hitesh! Thanks to lot of media channels – they work hard to bring news like things to us. They call it BREAKING NEWS!! The above one is the latest. Let me deal with the same.

What Happened?

Under animal exchange programme – Mumbai Zoo had got 25 monkeys from AFRICA. The animal feeder has been trying to set up the food habits of these monkeys. For first month – he gave them 5 ROTIs along with BANANAS in the morning and in the evening he used to give 2 ROTIs along with RAW vegetables.

Over the course, the feeder found that Monkeys are wasting the ROTI in the morning and many started getting indigestion and issues related to stomach. In the evening – he found that Monkeys need more ROTI than 2. So, he decided to change the food system.

He offered 4 ROTIs in the morning and 3 ROTIs in the evening. But the Monkeys felt that they are being deprived!! They demanded 5 ROTIs only as they were getting earlier. The Feeder explained them that they are not deprived at all!! They are getting 7 ROTIs in total. Moreover, they are wasting food in the morning and it is causing indigestion to some also.

But they were AFRICAN Monkeys – their fore fathers had given them the example of GANDHIJI doing Staya Graha in South AFRICA and they followed him and went on STRIKE. Ultimately – the poor feeder had to agree to their demands of 5 ROTIs in the morning!!

How Normal Investors Behave?

Investment is only possible when you have spare money. It means your regular expenditures are taken care of and you can now invest this surplus money for your future needs.

However, when normal investors come to market – like monkey they want 5 ROTIs – Instant gains. He does not have any urgent need of money nor does he has that kind of extra expenditures to support. He also develops the indigestion with the money. All extra money earned is wasted on things which are not needed!! In the process – he takes extra tension/BP shoots up/takes wrong decisions and most ends up losing the capital.

We feel that Sensex have grown at 17% in last 35 years and I can relax as long as I am reasonably sure that my capital will keep on increasing at least 17% year on year. This will give me much needed support when I am no longer working!!  What’s more –I will have sound health to enjoy my money also!!

You can go for instant gratification or you can postpone so that it matures further!!
