J P Morgan Did Not Travel By “Titanic”?

During the week, I completed the biography of THE J P Morgan, mega-financial
tycoon, who created 1st Billion Dollar Steel Empire…100 years back
from today!! He was the lender of the last resort for the governments and kings
in those days!!
"Millionaires don't use Astrology, billionaires do!"
This was the most
famous saying he used to tell. It is a documented fact that Mr. Morgan
purchased a ticket for the Titanic's maiden voyage a few weeks prior to her
ill-fated departure, as so many of his elitist associates had done. However,
J.P. Morgan pulled out at the last minute because his astrologer told
him not to board!! He listened to her urgings and was grateful to her for life.
He himself had a very
good library dedicated to books on astrology. He himself was a good student of
astrology!! His
reliance on an astrologer in many areas of business investment is perhaps best
demonstrated by his quotation that "Millionaires
don't use Astrology, billionaires do!"

In the above book, Steven
Weiss writes that astrologers have made substantial
contributions to the business success of luminaries such as Walt
Disney, Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey, and have been indispensable for
presidents like Ronald Reagan who is famously said to have
been addicted to his personal astrologer’s views.
Weiss explains that business
leaders can learn from astrologers because, when they dismiss them, they put
themselves “at a disadvantage in understanding international clients and
consumers”.
What he is suggesting is that in
a globalised world where customers can come from anywhere, it’s important to
account and cater for people (such as those in India) whose culture is more
inclined to believe in this sort of stuff. (If you are a businessman, you
must read this book)
What about Warren
Buffett?
It the Bill Gates is
following Astrology, what about the 2nd richest man of the world? After
a painstaking study…I have got the document which says…..Mr.Charlie Munger
is an excellent student of astral sciences himself.
Why We Follow Astrology?
I had studied the
astrology along with my education and I was trying it on personal areas. But
when I was shifted to active portfolio management and investment advisory in 1996,
I have observed an important trait of my investor friends investment returns.
E.g. If Reliance is
recommended to buy to all my clients……, many will not buy, many will sell in losses, many in small profits but
very few sold at the handsome profits. So, I turned my attentions to Investment
Astrology. Over the last 15 years, those who had followed my recommendations
with astrology (which is free to my clients), they are doing extremely fine.

Killa in Delhi? There is a moat around it……in older times they used to keep

so called scientific approaches. There is more issues today then in the

legacy. 33 times advance then your western counter parts!!
So, to believe or not
to, it is your personal call. It’s your life and your money.
But, Why Mr.J P
Morgan Said “Billionairs use it”?
Just look at the past……in
the olden times in India, we had a Raj Jyotishi (King’s Astrologer) and Raj
Vaidya(King’s Doctor). They were for not normal people.
Just take today’s example
of Kerala Ayurvedic Massage and other such SPAs. Many of you would have enjoyed
in your vacations. Do you think you can afford them on daily basis? If yes, can
you take out the time on daily basis? You do have constraint on your money and
time resources. Buy Kings do not have. So, Mr. J P Morgan said….Billionairs only
use it.
When Most People Use
Astrology, whether they believe in it or not?
Whether you believe
in Modern Medical Science or not, whether you like to stay in HOSPITAL because
of its smell and over all negative atmospheres, if you have major illness, you
will have to go to Doctor and stay in Hospital!! Am I right?
Same way, I have seen
people going to astrologers, when they have sudden issues, which they can not
handle with their current skill sets and resources!!
