Unknown Facts of Mr.Narendra Modi as a Successful  Investor

Greetings from Hitesh! You have always seen Mr.Modi as a successful politician and most loved leader of the land. I am sure you must not be aware about his investments style. Am I right?  As usual, I will be the first to write about it to you today.

He follows just three steps while he invests. They are as under.

1. Seek New Ideas and Try New Things:-

This is the most important aspects of investments. You must be on look out of new and new ideas for investments. Once you find out, you need to try them.

This step is known as Variation in Management Parlance. If you look at his last 12 years in Gujarat, he kept on seeking new and new ideas and implemented them with enormous success.

Look at his speeches in last six months. It had the local flavor and local issues in them. So, he was implementing variations in them.

Look at the means of communication he used in his campaign. You name it and it was there. So, he was giving speeches and his media men were communicating with masses with all possible means!!

If you look at our emails……we also follow the variations. We use all possible means to study the market and investment ideas. We study the company from fundamental /technical perspective/general ground realties/astrological aspects/ personal capacities of success in investments and many more.

We also use the variations in our communication to you – through WhatsApp /Twitter / Text Msgs and Emails.

Most normal investors face three challenges while they go for the new ideas.

1. Not ready to change:- They are not ready for new ideas and new ways. They are happy with their same old style of investments. They do not believe in appointing a consultant or investment manager for their investments.

2. Mega Variation:- If they overcome the first resistance of not to change they want major changes and they want it as fast as possible. They go from one extreme to the other.

Suppose they get convinced with an investment idea, they will go all out and buy 10-100 lots in futures or 1000 to 100000 shares in cash!! They want to get rich quick!!

When you do mega variation, you will find it difficult to handle, if the same does not go the way it was expected!!

3. Equal Standards:- This is the major and most difficult aspect to handle. Once they make fast money in some company, they want all other investment ideas also to perform the same way!! The height comes when they give the example of how fast their neighbor or friends made money in stocks!! They want to beat the same!!

Idealistically looking, it makes sense to expect fast and same kind of returns from all your investment ideas. But that does not happen in practice.

This issue gets compounded when they look at Soft Drinks or other packed eatables……you get them as they are anywhere you go!! Because they are Static in nature…..one time solution works there….but in the most dynamic market conditions, you will never get all the companies giving you same kind of returns and with the same speed!!

2. When Trying New Ideas, Do It On A Scale Where You Can Survive Failures:-

Mr.Modi practiced as a CM of Gujarat for 12 full years before opting for PM. He knew how to deal with failures when they were small.

Most management courses are for 2-4 years. They teach you to deal with Case studies. When you deal with case study, you get the idea of failures and success and the complex nature of problem you may come across in practice.

We also ask our clients to be with us for at least 3 years. We have seen that initial success or initial failures melt down in a period of 3 years.

3. Seek Out The Feedback and Learn From Your Mistakes As You Go Along:-

You have tried new ideas. You have tried at a small scale. Now is the time for Selection of future course of action. So, you get the feedback, learn from your mistakes and re-plan your future strategy.

Getting an honest feedback is the most difficult thing in politics and corporate culture. The truth is always sugar coated. So, Mr.Modi went to masses himself. He did some 500 plus meetings. He got the feedback from the grass-root levels.

While studying the market, we also look at the ground realities and not only the balance sheets and charts. They can be manipulated but not the ground realities!!
