One LIFE + One GOD V/s. Many LIVES + Many GODS & Your 

Investment Performance

Wish you a Great Morning. World has been divided in many ways. I am just trying to look the world from the above perspective. I want to see, how does this affect ones investment behaviour?

One LIFE + One GOD:-

Western, Middle East and Chinese parts of the world follow this belief. When you believe in this concept……you have following vocabulary.

1. Do the right things.

2. Have Goals / Management by objective / Purpose / Targets / Achievements / Awards.  

3. Aggression / Impatience / Violence / Many Partners / More Indulgence

4. Their palm is Square to Spatulate.

Many Lives + Many Gods:-

Most part of India and countries following Indian ideology have this belief. When you believe in this concept…… you have following vocabulary.

1. Patience / Non Violence / One Partner / Less indulgence.

2. Accommodative to other believes.

3. The life is infinite. Their focus is in understanding the life and not controlling. Not on achievements but on introspection.

4. Birth is not the beginning and death is not the end. Actions in the past life affect the present and present the future.

5. They have mostly Concave Palms.

The Current Status:-

Let me share one beautiful example of Mr. Bernard Shaw. He was considered the most intelligent man of his time. But he was not handsome.

One extremely beautiful lady approached him with a marriage proposal. She said… “If we marry, we can have a child with your brain and my beauty”.

Shaw rejected the offer saying…… “What if child comes with your brain and my beauty?”

The combination of Western and Indian concept has done preciously the same thing what Mr.Shaw visualised in his case.

Instead of having our brain and west’s beuty, our child has brain of west and our beauty. We have started using western management concepts/terminology and technology. We are also becoming aggressive / impatience and indulging. Shape of our palms have changed from 100% concave to mixture of concave + square + spatualte

How Does this Affect The Investment Performance?

There is always a fight between your inner belief of Many LIVES and your outer belief of one LIFE.

1. When you Trade, you start with one LIFE Belief. You know you need to follow stop losses, but when the stop loss comes, your belief changes to Many LIVES and you hold on to losing positions. Many times you average also!!

2. When you Invest, you start with Many LIVES Belief. But when price goes down, you panic as if this is the only LIFE. You book losses and get out, only seeing that prices have multiplied in coming years.
