How
will you feel if your only son goes to Abroad?
Greetings
from Hitesh! Hope you enjoyed the last week. Hope you are enjoying our
twitter updates also. Last week my neighbour’s son got Visa for USA. He
is going there for further study. This incidence made me think on the above
captioned matter.
How
Parents Were Reacting?
They
were on cloud nine. They felt very proud as their son is going there for
further study. They also feel lucky that their son got the VISA in the
first attempt. They are busy shopping for his son.
The End
Result:-
The Son
will probably marry with a girl over there and settle there. The parents will
visit once or twice their but in the end they will (mostly) be staying in India
alone. The son, if well cultured, will keep in touch through Phone, Email and
may also send money regularly. But at the time of last breadth of his
parents…..99% probability is there, he will not be present with them. In short,
at the time of death……the parents will be alone!!
Let us
take other example…..where son is separating from parents after marriage as his
wife and his mother are not getting along well with each other. The
parents will be unhappy. They will curse their luck, the Daughter in Law and
the Son for being a Handpacked Husband.
The end
results here is also similar to the one who is gone abroad…….the son may keep
in touch….but he may not be there when the parents need him the most !!
Which
one you like?
Though
the end result is the same, most parents will like the first situation. This is
the results of perception and nothing else.
How
does this affect your performance as an Investor/Trader?
It is
said in English….All Is Well That Ends Well. In
the above example…as a parent your end is the same. But if you like first
over the second, you are easily susceptible to emotional imbalance and that
will lead to wrong decisions.
I see
small investors are coming back to market post 3500 points rally in the Sensex.
Their logic…if market is moving up, there must be something good!!
Let us
see the reality……in reality there is no fundamental change in last 20
days. No change in bank NPAs. Inflation is still moving up. CAD is still
widening. GDP forecast is still at 4.5%. Corporate Profitability is still going
to be suppressed.
It’s all
about your perception.
My Personal Call:-
In Enter The Dragon,
Bruce Lee had said…. “Don’t think, feel !!It is like a
finger pointing away to the moon. Don’t
concentrate on the finger or you will miss all the heavenly glory.”
We have
been feeling the market and telling you to invest, invest and invest. It will
be very unfortunate for you, if you have missed the bus.
