Your ATTITUDE to the following 10 things will decide whether you will remain Poor / Middle Class or Rich?

Dear Fellow Travelers,

Namaste! In the times of COVID-19, many RICH have become Middle class and many Middle Class are shifted into Poverty. The challenge is to maintain the class you are into or you will fall into the lower class by default. Today I am showing a difference between how all the THREE CLASSES think and operate with respect to the 10 most important things in their life. The main thing according to me is the core FOCUS of their life – which will take them up or down in the class chain.

Let us see how various classes focus on various issues or day to day life?

Money: -

 Poor- Where to spend first?

 Middle- How to manage?

 Rich- Where to invest?

Can you see the difference? First one has so little money so he has to think about which NEED to fulfill first. The middle one has to manage and plan for the future. The last one is having surplus money and he can talk about investing.

Now, if you are in the first two levels and take a determined step to invest or learn investments – you can move to the next levels over a period of time.

Personality: -

Poor – They value Sense of Humour. So, much pain in life. Little humour allows them to forget the pains.  

Middle – They value ACHIEVEMENT. Getting a distinction in education / getting a job or promotion / going abroad / getting recognition for some social work.

Rich – They Value CONNECTIONS. Do you know MODI or AMIT SHAH or RAJNATH? Do you have dinner with MUKESH AMBANI or BUFFETT?

Social Emphasis: -

Poor – They focus on INCLUSION in their society. They have no money or little money. If they get support from their society, they can make their life easy. To remove somebody out of COMMUNITY was the biggest punishment in the olden days.

Middle – They focus on SELF SUFFICIENCY. They can’t beg or borrow when in need. We have seen this in the COVID lockdown. Most middle classes suffered the most as they don’t like to ask for help. Most Gujarati middle class fill up one-year RATION and prepare PICKLES during summer so they can sustain the lack of income with self-respect.

Rich – They want everything EXCLUSIVE. They have tons of money and don’t care what society think for them. They know that thanks to their money power, they can call the shots any time.

Food: -

Poor – They focus on Quantity. More quantity and less price are a good proposition for them as they have more people to feed and less income.

Middle – They have enough income. So, they focus on Quality.

Rich – They have the least number of members and a lot of income. So, they focus on PRESENTATIONS. Ambani family has 6 members and 600 staff to take care of them.

Time: -  

This is the most important factor.

Poor – They want NOW. I see many traders in the rich class also want money now. Their attitude takes them down without fail. If you are focused on MONEY NOW – you are POOR by your MIND.

Middle – They want in Future. They plan INSURANCE / SIP / Small savings and things like that to take care of the future. Basically, they want to maintain their standard of living in the future also.

Rich – They focus on TRADITION. There is a billionaire Jain diamond gentleman in Mumbai. I know him personally. He lights PURE COW GHEE LAMP in one part of his house and that part of the floor is covered with COW DUNG flooring. I always tell ASTROLOGY and AYURVED is for RICH and not for MIDDLE CLASS or POOR. Tradition is difficult to carry on without being RICH.

Education: -

Poor – They don’t focus on them. For them, it is a costly affair and they don’t have that much money to invest in educations.

Middle – They invest in education for Success and Money. If they get well paid IT job in a USA company – they feel their life goals are met. This one attitude which keeps MIDDLE CLASS in the Middle class – they invest heavily in their kid education – by taking loans also – but they are not ready to invest in learning and mastering the investment skills. They are okay if their son does not take care of them in old age. But they fail to understand that if they have money – their son will be more inclined to be with the family and take care of them in old age.

Rich – They focus on Maintaining the connections. Say a rich guy son goes into HAWARD. The purpose is to make global connections and learn the latest in the field. If connections are not there – their education is ZERO.

Language: -

This is most powerful indicator, if you want to move into the upper class.

Poor – They vocabulary will be very casual. Let me think / I will ask my wife / I will have to talk to my family. I am sure you would have heard this. Can you see a lack of conviction in the above sentences? So, they remain inconclusive in the moment of choice.

Middle – Their language will be of NEGOTIATION. If you give assurance/guarantee – they will do something. These people are the soft target for FLY BY NIGHT guys. These are the people who have lost millions in DOUBLE YOUR MONEY Schemes in their lifetime. They are GREEDY without education so they can be taken for a ride easily.

They come to the market only and only when the market has already moved up.

Rich – These people focus on NETWORKING in their language. For them losses or profits are secondary but knowing somebody or having access to somebody is the main thing. They tell YES or NO immediately. They are super GREEDY but they have a team of educated people to guide them at every step. Mukesh Bhai has a think tank of 500 plus people to guide him. They are paid for their ideas and suggestions. Then there is a team to filter them and process them for action.

Family Structure: -

Poor – Mother calls the shot in this family as she has to cook and distribute the food equally to all the members. She saves and her savings are used when the emergency arises.

Middle – Father calls the shot. He is earning, educated, and have more exposure to the outside world. You will often hear the sentence from MIDDLE-CLASS wife – let me talk to my HUSBAND first.

Rich – The person who has the most money in the family, other members will listen to him or her. He can make you happy or unhappy. So, take care of his ego in the family.

Driving Force: -

Poor – Relationship with neighbours/relatives and family members drive their behaviour as they know that in times of difficulty these people will stand by them. If you meet 60-70 plus middle-class person in India today – he would give more importance to relationships because in his young days they did not have MONEY.

Middle – Achievement is their driving force. Good Marks / Good Job / Good Salary / Marriage with upper-class son or daughter / buying a luxury car / membership of some CLUB / honeymoon in Switzerland is their driving force.

Rich – They focus on FINANCIAL and SOCIAL STATUS more than anything else. With their money – they have got everything money can buy. Now, the challenge is to maintain its status in terms of FINANCE and SOCIALS.

Destiny: -

Poor – They talk about luck/fate and kismet while dealing with the issues of their life. These guys are not ready to take responsibility for their growth on them. They wait for some MESSIAH to take their life to the next levels. MODI JI is playing the role of MESSIAH for them in COVID.

Middle – They feel in control of DESTINY when they have the ability to make CHOICE. Ability to make choices gives a boost to their EGO like no other things. They feel they are BHAGYA vidhata for somebody while making a choice.

Rich – They feel they are in control of DESTINY when their expectations are met. With money and power – the only thing remains is to fulfill their expectations. If expectations are not met, they are the most unhappy persons.

What NEXT?

Honestly see yourself with respect to the above 10 areas. If you want to move from poor class to middle class or middle class to the richer class – change your attitude in the above 10 areas. If you think you are RICH already – then you have the biggest challenge to maintain your status.
