Role of LUCK in SHARES TRADING and INVESTMENTS

for your responses and being my regular readers. Today I am going to deal with
the most talked about issue amongst NORMAL investors. Many guys complaint about
their luck when they face the losses in shares trading and investments. Let us
deal with that.
Let us see some of the common
complaints. You also would have heard about them or faced them.
1.
When they buy,
shares prices goes down.
2.
When they
sell, shares prices goes up.
3.
When they
sell one loss making companies to buy another – the new company shares also go
down.
4.
When market
goes up their portfolio do not move up proportionately and when market goes
down their portfolio goes down more than proportionately.
5.
They change
their brokers / their way of trading and investments – but the end result is
the same.
They never seem to make money and
they conclude that they are not lucky. I am sure you would have heard this kind
of SAD story or you might also have the above experiences.
Have you SEEN A DIABETES PATIENT?
I am sure you would have seen
many. Has any one them or if you have diabetes ever complained that his luck /
your luck is BAD for SWEETS. Now, because of DIABETES you will not be able to
eat the SWEETS. Do you CURSE DIABETES?
Apparently many would be cursing –
but they take the medicines or take INSULINE shots and eat the sweets they love
the most.
They know that DIABETES is BAD in
the long run but how many of them stop eating SWEETS. I have heard many saying
– “I would prefer to die after eating SWEETS rather than living long without
SWEETS”. I am sure many of your
elderly relatives would be giving this kind of DIALOGUES to you when you stop
them or WARN them with the implications of eating sweets when they have
diabetes.
How does this REALTES to TRADING FAILURES?
I have been privileged to deal
with NORMAL investors for the last 25 years. I have observed N number of
FACTORS for their FAILURES. But the above TWO ARE The MAIN.
1.
CRAVING FOR TRADING
SUCCESS:- The way DIEABETES patient has the craving for the sweets or habits
for the sweets – the NORMAL investors lack that CRAVING for TRADING AND
INVESTMENT IN STOCKS. They simply lack that enthusiasm for trading and
investments. For them TRADING and INVESTMENT is always a TIME PASS activities
and not the genuine desire to make money. When they lack the CRAVING – they are
not ready to take the pain to STUDY the fine art of TRADING and INVESTMENTS
(the way diabetes patience takes the SHOT of INSULINE).
2.
NOT READY TO
DIE:- I have yet to see the so called failure guy in trading who has told me “If
I do not succeed in TRADING I will KILL myself”. They always wanted to save
themselves. That is the reason they are blaming LUCK for their FAILURES. They want to make some extra money along with
their JOB or SAMLL business. They are not ready to stake their MONEY (the way
diabetes guy pays to doctor or for INSULINE / medicine) or their LIFE (TIME to
learn the fine of ART investments).
What NEXT?
Next time you feel like blaming
your LUCK for your trading and investment failures – just think of a DIEABETES
patient and his two qualities as mentioned above. You might have made 100s of
mistakes but if you can develop the two qualities mentioned above – I assure
you 101% success in your trading and investments.
