Namaste! Makar-Sankranti is a major event of the Sun cycle as it is changing its move from South direction to North Directions. Our astrological system is the most scientific as our days are based on the moon / our months are based on the Sun and our years are based on GURU. So, it is very easy to predict the coming year with the SUN. 

This year MAKAR-SANKRANTI happens on 14^th January at 3.08pm. I have taken Mumbai time. 

The chart is as under: - 

Lagna: - Vrushabh lagna is rising. Lagna is VARGOTTAMA. The lord of lagna VENUS is in 9^th house and it is also VARGOTTAMA. Apart from VENUS, MARS and SUN are also VARGOTTAMA. It means 3 planets are VARGOTAMMI along with LAGNA. 

This is very powerful yoga. Vrushabh lagna is a FIXED sign. It means the situation is going to be STABLE and not BAD as YouTuber astrologers are making you believe. This is a very good sign for progressive year. 

This time three planets MARS (MILITARY) / MERCURY – (BUSINESS) and VENUS (LUXURY and WEALTH) are combust. When a planet is combust the power goes to the SUN. So, the SUN becomes powerful in the CHART. It means the KING( Presidents and Prime Ministers in the current time) will take all the decisions! Look at the current attack on the VENEZUELA by TRUMP. It was TRUMP who called the shots. 

Going forward we may see country heads in various countries take a call to take over / attack the neighbouring countries on their own. GURU is in 2^nd house and retrograde. It means MONEY PRINTING will happen at the mass scale and that will end up bursting the balloon of the TEJI fuelled by the liquidity.
