Namaste! May is a vacation time in India. The way we go out to the newer places – planets also travels. Three long term moving planets Rahu – Ketu and Guru are changing their sign in May. Yesterday, we saw the effects of Rahu and Ketu. Today we will see GURU's effects.
Guru (Jupiter) will transit to Mithun Rashi (Gemini) on May 14, 2025, at 11:20 PM IST. This transit will last until June 27, 2026.
Guru and Mercury Relationship: -
Our rishis were great. They told us many things symbolically which had a deep meaning. As per the story – MOON abducts TARA, the wife of Guru and they had a child named BUDH from their union. Guru cursed Budh to be genderless.
Still being a GURU – he trained him with the best possible education and knowledge.
This is not a very comfortable combination.
The BIG BULL HARSHAD MEHTA had the combination of BUDH and GURU aspected by RAHU and MARS in his horoscope. He was very intelligent – gutsy but his attitude to beat the opponent with CROOKEDNESS took him down from the TOP.

3. Guru is entering into the sign late at night and that too 6th house. That too in his enemy sign. This will make GURU wild and it will create TANDAV.
4. This is a beginning of ATICHARI GURU cycle. So, be ready with FAST and Unexpected events.

Guru has completed 10 cycles of the 12 years since 1906 in Mithun Rashi.

Dow was down in both the year.

1930-1931: - The Great depression dominated the world market.
The Dow was down 33% in 1930. 52% down in 1931.

Dow was up 7% in 1942. 13% in 1943.

Key events also included the Geneva Conference on Indo-China, the first mass polio vaccinations, and the development of the first commercial transistor radio.
Dow was up 43% in 1954 and 20% in 1955.
1965-1966: - Vietnam War / India-Pakistan Conflict/ Singapore separated from Malaysia / Nigerian Coup -A counter-coup in Nigeria resulted in the execution of Head of State Aguiyi-Ironsi and the installation of Yakubu Gowon.
Dow was up 11% in 1965 and 19% in 1966.
1977-1978 :- In 1977-1978, major international events included the rise of the Iranian Revolution, the signing of the Camp David Accords, and the beginning of the Soviet-Afghan War. Dow was 26% up in 1988 and 4% down in 1989.
SENSEX was up 79% in 1988 and 9% up in 1989.
2001-2002: - In 2001-2002, the world was dominated by the aftermath of the September 11th terrorist attacks, which led to the global War on Terror and a significant shift in international relations. Other major events included the India-Pakistan standoff, the Second Intifada, and the implementation of the euro as a single currency in many European Countries.
Dow was down 7% in 2001 and down 16% in 2002.
Sensex was down 27% and 3% respectively.
2013-2014: - In 2013 and 2014, the world witnessed a number of significant events, including the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, the Crimean crisis, the rise of ISIS, and the global Ebola outbreak. Other notable events included the Boston Marathon bombings, the 2014 Israel-Gaza conflict, and the downing of MH17. Modi ji came to power in 2014.
Dow was up 26% in 2013. 7% up in 2014.
Sensex was up 9% in 2013 and 40% something in 2014.
If you study the above trend 6 out of 10 times, markets were positive in the USA.
WAR or War like situations was the in thing in all the periods.
What to expect in 2025-2026?
Guru is Ether element and Mithun Rashi is Air element. If you check the history – Malaysian airlines went missing in 2013 and MH17 was shot. Expect Air travel related problems.
Internet connections can get disrupted big time. So, we have asked all of the readers to keep some cash in hand.
New inventions will come up in the field of Pharma and Technology for sure. They will come at the speed of thought. Focus on top end pharma and technology research driven companies for investments.
Air related Virus spread can cause the health issues to the masses.
Select people who have support of good mercury and mars in their horoscope will make tons of money in chaotic situations.
Expect War like situations to get intensified as the period progresses.
What about India?
Guru will be passing from the second house in India’s independence chart. Some communal violence or inside fighting will take place for sure. Overall, Guru will protect our GDP / Reduce the losses at the country levels and with the RAHU also making the triangle – we will win big time.
