Buddha’s experience with NIRVANA and Small investors' attitude with Financial Nirvana? 

Dear Fellow Investors,

Namaste! Wish you and your family a very Happy Diwali and Prosperous New Year. I have come across a unique dilemma BUDDHA faced in his time. After being enlightened he was moving in BIHAR and trying to make people aware and make them move towards the NIRVANA ( MOKSHA – KAIVAL GYANA – Enlightened, whichever name you like). He moved around for close to 40 years.

Once he was passing by a VILLAGE and a person stopped him. He asked Buddha – Can you tell me in the last 30 years how many people have gone for NIRVANA under you? Buddha replied – I have to reach somewhere now so meet me in the evening. I will be available here. In the meantime take this paper and go inside this village. Write down the names of all the people who are ready to go for NIRVANA. Bring them with you in the evening and I will make sure they all go to NIRVANA today itself. 

The person went to the VILLAGE and started asking all the young people. They said we are young. We have to live the life. We don’t want to go to NIRVANA now. You can ask OLD people. So, he went to old people. They said – they want to enjoy with their kids and grandkids. They also didn’t agree to go to NIRVANA. By the evening time he was left with BLANK paper. He thought since nobody is ready to go – why I should also go. So, he didn’t go to meet Buddha in the evening. In the morning he went to Buddha and narrated the story that nobody is ready to go for NIRVANA. He said I also lost the courage to go. He asked for forgiveness from BUDDHA for his behavior. 

How does this story relate to Financial Nirvana?

For the last 31 years – I have asked simple questions to put numbers 1, 2, and 3 on the following priorities. 

 

·      To be WEALTHY 

·      To have LUXURIES

·      To be Comfortable

 

Most guys have given number one to a comfortable life, Second to LUXURY, and third to be WEALTHY. Their thinking is if they are comfortable – they will try for LUXURY and if by a stroke of luck, they become WEALTHY they have no issues. Many see them as stages of their life - First being COMFORTABLE and last being WEALTHY. They are 100% wrong!! 

 

"Comfort: The Silent Dream Killer" Comfort, like a drug, captivates and addicts. Consistent stimulation, convenience, and cheap entertainment can stifle ambition. Dreams wither away in the comfort zone.

 

They live life in PIECES. They will invest in various asset classes and fall in love with them. They will invest some money for the MARRIAGE of their CHILDREN / EDUCATION of their CHILDREN / THEIR RETIREMENT and some in SHARES / Mutual Funds and some in SIPs.

 

All their so-called smart financial planning is to REMAIN poor for generation after generation. I have yet to come across a billionaire by investing in SIP / INSURANCE / MF or SMALL SAVINGS. 

 

The problem of SMALL INVESTORS:-

 

They fail to see the bigger picture. They are too busy to think about making big money. Even if they are told – they are not ready to listen or follow like the villagers in BUDDHA's story. They want to do what all others do. Their fear of failure is so high that they are not ready to think about the JOY of BEING WEALTHY. 

 

My Style with my investors: - 

 

I am on my journey to be wealthy and I have covered many milestones so far. I have a holistic thought process and I prepare all my investors to think holistically on all the areas to have a lasting success. Those who are not thinking holistically - they too get success but then their success is not LASTING. So they have to start again and again. Their success is like PAY CHEQUE to PAY CHEQUE. 

I strongly suggest working on all the five factors of success given by Lord Krishna in Gita – chapter 18, slok 13/14. According to Lord Krishna – one must work on VASTU / His Personality / His Resources / His Skillsets to use the Resources Optimally and His Fate. Those who work on all 5 have lasting success and lasting success leads to Financial Nirvana easier and speedier than you think.

I have observed that those investors who have remained with me for 3 years and worked in all the above areas have seen a DRASTIC change in their lives permanently. 

What NEXT?

For BUDDHA or any ENLIGHTENED person to deal with normal people is like Selling Mirrors to blind people. Fortunately for Modern Investors -  they are educated and smart. If they use common sense – I am sure they will choose to be wealthy instead of choosing a life of comfort.

Diwali is a FESTIVAL to propitiate LAXMIJI. Those who want LAXMIJI in the form of HEALTH – WEALTH and HAPPINESS permanently in their life – can approach us for FINANCIAL NIRVANA.
