29 years relationship between Tony Robbins and Paul Tudor Jones – How long you should consult your consultant?

Namaste! How long you should consult somebody? In the Saturday learning series – I am sharing one of the best combinations of the most successful trader and the most successful coach in the world. 

 

Why PAUL joined Tony Robbins?

 

Paul Tudor Jones was a big name before he even met Tony. Paul was amongst the very few traders who predicted the fall of 1987 and made tons of money by going short at that time. He was well-known and very successful. 

 

He wanted to make a trading profit of half a billion in a day. He tried all his methods – advanced methods and experiences but could not hit his goal. So, he went to TONY in 1993. 

 

Tony asked for a fee of USD 1 Million Per Year and a certain percentage in the profit. Paul Agreed. 

 

With the help of TONY’s strategy, he achieved his goal of making Half a billion in a day. Tony had shared this in one of his interviews. 

 

Since 1993 – they are together and they are making tons of money. 

 

What are the learning lessons from their long-time relationships?

 

1.   When PAUL met TONY – Paul was a very successful trader already. In India, Rakesh always took the inputs from his GURU – DAMANI even when he was already at the top. 

 

Normal investors if they hit some of the good stocks by a stroke of luck – they consider themselves expert investors and they would consider the payment of the fees to the consultant as an unnecessary expenditure. 

 

2.   Paul took the inputs for the MINDSET of trading. He had the best of the skill sets but he lacked MINDSET. In our blog – What they don’t teach you in Technical Analyst classes? I shared the same facts – they don’t teach the MINDSET. 

 

Very few normal investors are ready to invest time and money into skill sets developments and out of these lots – an extremely low percentage of investors go for MINDSET development. This is the reason 95% of the traders lose and 5% of the fully equipped traders make tons of money. 

 

3.   Paul Joined with the specific goal of hitting his target of making half a billion in a day in trading. 

 

Normal investors have very general goals with respect to money-making. They focus on COST – BENEFITS. Now, when you don’t have a specific and burning desire to make money – whatever they spend will be cost for them. To avoid cost – they rely on FREE MEDIA TIPS.

 

4.   Paul made a profit in the first year only. He got the MINDSET technique. But he retained TONY for 29 years!!! He kept on working on his mindset each the years. They both have grown together. 

 

Normal Investors will have their ATTITUDE of saving money to continue with the consultant even after making a huge profit. 

 

MY PERSONAL REALISATION: -

 

Long back I had read J P MORGAN saying – “Astrology is for billionaires and not for millionaires”.

 

Reading the story of PAUL and TONY – I have realised that in any field – Investments – Astrology – Scientific Research – you need to be a billionaire or must have the attitude of a billionaire to keep the best of the consultant or to get the best of the quality output or product – whether you make money instantly or not? 

 

Now, everybody can’t be a billionaire from day one but yes you can develop your thought process like a billionaire and move towards the same. I have seen many clients have paid my fees even when they had the capital to invest just Rs.25000. They have prospered over a period of time and they are with me for many years. 

 

What NEXT?
