Choice of Arjun and Choice of Duryodhana. The ultimate Winning Formula.

Dear Fellow Travellers,

Namaste! I paid Rs.2.5 lakh to Mr. Anthony Robbins in 2007 and he taught me one golden rule – “In the moment of your decision your destiny is decided.” Since then I have studied myself and N number of people who have come in touch with me. The common factor for their long-lasting success or failure was their CHOICE. Their choice influenced their decision and their decision influenced their Destiny.

Let me share an incidence of Mahabharata in which the CHOICE factor is reflected in the winning and losing.

Arjun and Duryodhana went for Krishna’s help before the WAR: -

They went to Krishna for help in the war. Krishna said there are two options. You can take me to your TEAM or my ARMY. I am not going to fight in this war but my ARMY will fight. Krishna had a very powerful ARMY in those days.

Duryodhana thought process: - Krishna is useless but the ARMY is useful. Let me go for the ARMY.

Arjun thought process: - I want Krishna. If he is with me – everything will be okay in the end.

So, they both took the decision and you know what happened in the end.

Duryodhana had the highest support in his war against Pandava: -

Against 7 people of PANDAVA – DURYODHAN had 11 people to fight against them. This was the power of DURYODHANA.

He was thinking like NORMAL people. He always wanted to grab the advantage at the first instance without waiting for the long-term effects. The most NORMAL people also have these tendencies. They want something SURE SHOT / FAST / UNIQUE and MORE and MORE.

Look at the SIPs / Mutual Funds and N number of guaranteed investment options. Like Duryodhana, normal investors get attracted to them. The so-called sure shot return or safe return keeps them in the middle class till their last breath.

People like RAKESH wait for 20-30 years when they come to the market. They study the market and put their bet gradually on the selected companies. Buffet made 90% of his wealth after the age of 51.

Whereas NORMAL guys after 30 years of doing SIP / Mutual Fund and things like that still asking – where to invest after 30 years in the market?

Duryodhana is always in MAJORITY and ARJUN is always in minority. ARJUN kind of people go with the principles first and profits later. Duryodhana kind of people goes for only profit and that too fast profit.

Are you making your decision based on Immediate Profit?

We have seen the power shuffle in Maharashtra yesterday only. I remember the SARKAR movie dialogue – “DOOR KE FYADE KE LIYE – NAZDIK KA NUKSAAN BHULNA PADTA HEY”. Maybe UDDAHV Ji forgot this lesson.

Normal investors and normal people thought process is also for the immediate profit. Buy now and pay later schemes are the most popular as it appeals to mass psychology.

You can follow any of the strategies suitable to your personality. But don’t forget the above story and NEWTON’s 3^rd law. It said – “ACTIONS and REACTIONS are EQUAL and OPPOSITE”.  PAIN and PLEASURE are always equal and opposite. Those who are looking for only PLEASURE will end up in PAIN. Both are inseparable couples.
