How independent are investors? Understand your Role and follow it.

Dear Fellow Travelers,

Namaste! Readers like the holistic message of yesterday’s post – anybody’s problem is everybody’s problem. Thanks. There is always a gap between the investor’s expected return and the actual return 99% of the time. So, the questions come – how independent you are while planning for your investments? How independent do you remain once you invest? If you understand this and keep in your mind all the time while you are invested – you will have peace of mind.

Meeting with a CAPTAIN of a Commercial Ship: -

Recently, I met a Captain of a ship. He remains in the sea for almost 9 months a year. He is doing this job for the last 25 plus years. We were chatting. I asked him what happens in real life if the ship sinks? Do you know swimming? My imagination of sinking ship is limited to movie TITANIC only.

His reply was amazing and gave me a lot of learning from a Market point of view.

He said – we can’t swim in the sea due to two reasons. We will get tired fast. So, we try to remain floating in the water. We wait for help from the nearby ship or from our company people.

If we remain in the water for more time – our body will catch the chillness of the water and body temperature will go down fast. After some time – all our body organs will fail one after another. So, we will die without getting sink.

If I use the ship analogy – here are the answers for the various questions.

1.   You are independent as long as you have not entered the SEA. (read MARKET for stock market guys).

2.   Once in the SEA – anything can happen. Your goal is to go to your destination trying to keep your ship and yourself intact. If at all you predict in the Mid-sea that toofan is coming your way – you can’t do anything. (focus on saving your capital and your mental pains).

3.   Your skills in sailing the ship will come in handy to save yourself from the toofan. (your investment and trading skills will come in handy while the market turns volatile).

4.   If you jump from the ship assuming you will save yourself – you will die for sure. (those who get out of the market in panic – suffer big losses).

5.   If you keep the ship on the shore only – then it may be the safest thing to do, but then ships are not made to keep on the shore. (If you don’t invest capital – it will be the safest but then inflation will eat it silently).

So, sailing in the SEA – Investing your MONEY is the only FREEDOM.

What is the main point of learning?

Toofan in the sea is the production of SEA and you are not responsible for the same. If the SEA is calm – your journey will be comfortable and if the SEA is full of big waves – your journey will be difficult. Since you are sailing in the sea – TOOFAN is not coming.

In the same way – nature gives you pains and pleasure in life and the market gives you ups and downs in the prices. It is natural for them to happen and nobody is responsible for the same.

Your skills/intelligence and wisdom will come to your help in adverse situations and you will prosper in favourable situations due to them.

How to operate in the above kind of scenario?

Knowing the above truth gives you FREEDOM to plan your journey in life/investments.

At Destiny Management, we combine the Lord Krishna’s formula for holistic growth and success. We combine – VASTU + PERSONAL Qualities + Resources + Abilities to use the resources + Bhagya.

When we combine the above 5 – we are sure that our ship will reach the destination in spite of all the TOOFAN.

What NEXT?

Don’t blame the market, people, or situations for your pains. Just learn to be happy in spite of all of them. If you like – you can use the holistic formula of Lord Krishna.

I wish you all the best.
