Greetings from Hitesh! Corona has been at the center stage and all countries are either shutting down totally or partially. A lot of negativity and panic is being spread around the globe. The market is being sold off as if there is no tomorrow. Nifty is being sold by 400-500 points daily in the last 10 days. A lot of volatility.

So far India has just 150 cases. They are taking precautionary measures and educating like never before. Have you seen this happening in India before? Have you seen our government so PROACTIVE? Have you heard that all the world governments are acting in one line of action? Some parts are only affected. Some parts are not affected. I see all these events are too good to be true. There is some hidden motive. Let us deal with that.

Let me share some interesting HISTORICAL FACTS?

Let me take you to the PAST 135 years of the international trade settlement system. This DATA is a must to keep in mind before you think about why something drastically new can happen with us.

1st PHASE:- 1880 to 1915 ( before 1st World War)

The British pound was the RESERVE Currency for trade settlement. This period was a period of 100% GOLD BACKING. In another word – if you have 100USD – it means GOVT has a gold worth of 100 USD. You can EXCHANGE your Currency against GOLD.

2nd PHASE:- 1915  to 1944 ( INTERWAR PERIOD)

During war lot of currency notes were printed. There was a fall of 1929 and depression, which followed it. US FED was also established during this time. They were printing NOTES and they brought down gold to 40% backing. In other words – for every USD 100 you will get GOLD worth of USD 40 only!!

3rd PHASE:- 1945  to 1971 ( BRETTON WOOD TREATY)

They changed the system from USD to Gold to COUNTRY SPECIFIC CURRENCY to USD to GOLD. They pegged to gold at USD 35 per ounce. Say India wants to buy GOLD, first Indian rupee needs to converted into USD then US CENTRAL BANK will give GOLD to India against USD.

Most countries used this facility and the US lost 50% of its GOLD RESERVE!! The ratio came to USD 1 worth of GOLD in RESERVE to the actual currency of USD 8 in the market circulation!!

4th PHASE 15th AUGUST 1971 to till now:-

President NIXON canceled the BRETTON WOOD standard and all the currencies of the world became the FIAT currency. There is no backing what so ever behind them. Just CENTRAL BANKS used to promise to deliver the VALUE of the RUPEE or USD.

All the currencies were pegged to the USD and the system was working perfectly all right till 2007!!

In the last 10 years, the WORLD economy is facing DEPRESSION. JAPAN was the first country to go into depression and it tried hard to revive the economy by money printing and bringing the rates down to ZERO. The US also followed JAPAN and the end result is there is no SYSTEM, which we have as of NOW. In fact, we have NEGATIVE interest rates NOW.

What do we expect going forward?

They have failed to revive the growth of economies worldwide. The stock market going up and economy moving up is not always the same thing. Now, they will officially accept that economies can’t be revived. The blame will be on CORONA.

Now, to revive the economies – they will come out with some drastically NEW SYSTEM / CURRENCY and we all will be forced to accept the same as we have no POWER to say no.

How to protect your WEALTH in such a scenario?

When you don’t know what is going to happen – you can’t prepare. But If you look at the smartest of the investors worldwide – you can learn from them or take some ideas and apply the same in your situations. Please do not copy them as it is. It may turn out to be dangerous.
