Master Stroke of VED VYASA in GITA and Plight of NORMAL INVESTOR

Greetings from Hitesh! In the last post we talked about mental status for success and showed you a way to maintain the same. Many friends have approached us after our post and we have guided them. Many times, we read the book or scriptures, but we fail to catch the underline satire of the writer due to our preoccupation with our belief system. We accept all and go ahead.

I am just sharing an example which OSHO shared in one of his books and the same is applicable to the NORMAL INVESTOR.

GITA and its characters: -

There are four characters in GITA. KRISHNA / ARJUN / SANJAY and DHRITRASHTRA.

KRISHNA and ARJUN are having dialogue. SANJAY who has been given special powers to see them and listen to their talks is reporting to BLIND DHRITRASHTRA.

Krishna is the guy who knows all. Now, when the guy who knows all communicates he will not be able to communicate the total. (I am talking about spiritual truth here. But if you have a doubt that he can communicate in total, then just try to narrate one normal day’s events to your wife when you go back home. I am sure you will not be able to do that in totality).

He will communicate Partly. ARJUN is supposed to listen all and understand all. But in reality – he will skip some of the listening and understanding. So, he will repeat his questions. (This was the reason their dialogue lasted for 700 plus slokas).

Sanjay has nothing to understand and nothing to listen. He is just a MEDIUM. He will collect it and give it to DHRITRASHTRA.

DHRITRASHTRA is a guy who can’t see and can’t understand. Had he understood in the first place – there would not have been war. This guy spread the GITA among other people. OSHO refers to the so called PANDITS in the spiritual areas while sharing this example.

How does this affect NORMAL investors?

Market is like KRISHNA. It knows all. But there are very few like WARREN BUFFETT who can catch the same. He also fails many times in getting what market says. Still he is like ARJUN as he is having a direct dialogue with KRISHNA.

Media analyst are like SANJAY. They have no stakes. They just report what is happening as per their own understanding or their wasted interests.

Small investor is like DHRITRASHTRA. He is blind, and he can’t understand all these noises. DHITRASTHRA asked what happened to my sons in the war? Same way our NORMAL investor also asks what happened to the prices of his shares. He is the least interested in studying the fine art of investments, appointing a mentor like lord KRISHNA or taking any pains while investing. He wants a TIP and that’s it.

If you look at the behaviour of DHRITRASHTRA – his only point of fight was – he was the eldest son and his son should become the KING. Same way our NORMAL guys argues that they have done investments and taken risk and they must earn good returns.

For market or for existence – existence of you or your investment is NIL. They don’t know you and they don’t interfere with you. Just see if the existence cared, do you think we had so many ecological issues. They are 100% neutral.

I have read many guys commentaries on GITA. But only OSHO could see the above SATIRE of VED VYASA and shared with his disciples.
