Is DATA SCIENCE a MODERN name for ASTROLOGY?

Greetings from Hitesh! Today’s Sun rise sector is DATA SCIENCE. Top guys like Mukesh Ambani and Normal guys in TRAIN are talking about DATA ANALYSES and DATA SCIENCE. All are seeing DATA ANALYSES a NEW GOLD MINE.

Major success of Etail giant AMAZON is DATA ANALYSESE of its customers. It understands its customers’ needs and give lot of suggestions and follow them online with POP up on any of the site customer opens.

What is DATA SCIENCE?

As per Wikipedia “Data science, also known as data-driven science, is an interdisciplinary field of scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge or insights from data in various forms, either structured or unstructured.

Data science is a "concept to unify statistics, data analysis, machine learning and their related methods" in order to "understand and analyze actual phenomena" with data. It employs techniques and theories drawn from many fields within the broad areas of mathematics, statistics, information science, and computer science, in particular from the subdomains of machine learning, classification, cluster analysis, uncertainty quantification, computational science, data mining, databases, and visualization.”

Given a set of inputs and outputs, the system tunes a set of parameters in a mathematical formula such that the outputs can be predicted with as much accuracy as possible given the inputs (I’m massively oversimplifying here, but this captures sufficient essence for this discussion).

One big advantage with machine learning is that algorithms can sometimes recognize patterns that are not easily visible to the human eye. The most spectacular application of this has been in the field of medical imaging, where time and again algorithms have been shown to outperform human experts while analysing images. 

Last month we dealt with the success of RAY DALIO. His success is the results of most effective use of DATA SCIENCE.

The CHALLENGE of DATA SCIENCE:-

Nasim Taleb has written the following in his post on DATA Science. He has said “We’re more fooled by noise than ever before, and it’s because of a nasty phenomenon called “big data.” With big data, researchers have brought cherry-picking to an industrial level.

Modernity provides too many variables, but too little data per variable. So the spurious relationships grow much, much faster than real information.

In other words: Big data may mean more information, but it also means more false information.”

Yesterday, we dealt with a forwarded post on whether NIFTY will touch 6000 or not? There we shared some of the data points given by the writer of the post. All the reasons given in the post may turn out to be FALSE INFORMATION appearing to be logical reasons.  

Is DATA SCIENCE and ASTROLOGY comparable?

On the ground levels so called intellectuals will swear by DATA when they talk about happening or not happening of the event. But the same guys will turn face to other side when somebody talks about the ASTROLOGY. In a larger perspective ASTROLOGICAL observation are also the results of data collection by RISHIS for the movement of STARS in various signs and various times.

My success in predicating the market is based on my mastery in understanding the effects of stars on the market. From 2008 to till now, I have gone 100% accurate due to that DATA BASE only.

Over a period, I have expanded the horizon of the same to personal destiny management. So, today we are helping our investments clients in two ways – in managing their investments and in managing their life holistically.

Data Science as we see today is at a NASCENT stage. Astrology is more advance in terms of its scope and applications. I am sure in future DATA SCIENCE will act as a MODERN DAY ASTROLOGY.
