Why 99% of the NORMAL INVESTORS go Wrong while following Successful Investors?

Greetings from Hitesh! New Week started. Market participants are happy with the rating update by MOODY. Let us see how long the party lasts? I have been studying success (in all areas) and particularly in the field of investments. I have come across a grave blunder by NORMAL people while following their LEGENDS in any field. If you just become aware about the same, my job is over.

Vast Communication Gap:-

Let us say WARRNE BUFFETT or RAKESH is saying something on investments or market and NORMAL guy is listening to them.

Normal guy may be an MBA / CA or PHD and he may claim that he understood what they have said. But there is a VAST COMMUNICATION GAP – Whatever they are saying, they are saying after becoming successful investor and remaining at top for DECADES. NORMAL guy starts believing that he is also like them just by remembering what they have said. But he lacks the EXPERIENCE of legends.

He tries to copy their style or investments and fails miserably.

This mistake is all pervasive in all the areas of our life. Just look at the RELIGIONS or SPIRITUAL AREA. You will find people are quoting from GEETA / KORAN / BIBLE or their respective GURU’s books. They claim that they understand them 100% and practice them also. Krishna did not read GEETA to become KRISHNA. Mohammad Saab did not become PAIGAMBER by reading KORAN and JESUS did not become JESUS by reading BIBLE. The same goes for N number of REALISED SOULS in any part of the world.

Their BEING was always first and their DOING was always secondary.

99% of the NORMAL GUYS believes that IF THEY DO FIRST what they have done or said, THEY WILL BECOME successful like them!! This is 1001% wrong strategy and leads to frustrations and failures in their life.

Have you ever seen your FACE in MIRROR?

I am sure you must have seen N number of time. Now look at the face of your PARENTS / your best friends / your colleagues / your neighbours and all the faces you can see on the road / office / train / bus.

Have you ever seen any face or person 100% matching to your face and body structure? I am sure you would have never found such a guy because NATURE does not believe in copying. NATURE believes in UNIQUENESS and her all creations are unique in their own way.

Each of us has been given our own uniqueness in terms of our skill sets and talents. The challenge is to find them out and explore them.

This song tells you the secret of success – make your own road. You may fail. That is 100% okay. But by copying you will become somebody and will lose your own identity. When you lose your own identity – you will never get HAPPINESS in spite of getting MONEY and NAME.

Have you listened to the LAST DIALOGUE of CHATUR in the movie:- “If I don’t sign you up with my company, I will lose my job and I have little kids to support”. In spite of being university 2^nd, having a multi million dollar job, 10 years experience, he was BEGGING to RANCHO. This kind of success brings insecurity and kills the happiness.

What is the solution?

Solution is to focus on your BEING and not to go towards DOING.

When you DO, you remain the same and make changes outside or deal with outside forces. Doing is a FUTURE TENSE and the results will come after you DO. This will always keep you in TENSION.

Being demands TRANSFORMATION of your self and keep other factors as it is. BEING is a PRESENT TENSE. You are happy here and now. No worry for tomorrow or future.

BRUCE LEE has given a very good suggestion for TRANSFORMATION.

“You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend.”

He talks about your mind and not your BODY.

Then, you may ask, Why should we LISTEN TO THEM?

They are a proof of whatever a MIND CAN CONCEIVE and HEART CAN BELIEVE, you can achieve. You have to listen to them to get inspiration, motivation to explore your own life in your chosen area. If at all you want to copy, copy their attitude, their passion and their work habits and apply in your investments or in your job or business. Do not copy their investments till you do your own study.
