41 Years Ago, AMITABH was singing – “Main pal do pal ka shayar hoon” but he is still NUMBER ONE. How come?
Greetings from Hitesh! Who can
forget the romantic movie made by YASH CHOPRA – KABHI KABHI? For people born in
60s, this was the most romantic movie of their time. The movie came
in 1976, exactly 41 years back. I would love to deal with this song from
INVESTORS and INVESTMENT IDEA point of view.

INVESTORS:- Most investors when comes to the market they talk
about long term and promise to follow disciplined investment strategy. 90% of
them rarely follow what they talk. They want instant return and instant
success. They remain in the market for PAL DO PAL only. In fact, they come to the market only when the market is PEAKED.
Investment IDEA:- Like 90% of the investors, 90% of the
investment ideas are also for PAL DO PAL. They are the results of the current
favorable situations prevailing in any particular industries/sectors. If you do
not take advantage of the same, you miss the best opportunity of your time.

past. They were part of the market in their time. You are also part of the
market in current time. Tomorrow there will be new set of investors and they
will also have their fair shares of success and failures.
This stanza will always make you HUMBLE when you look at the
long history of successful investors. More you become HUMBLE, more success will
come automatically.
Investment IDEA:- As mentioned in the 1st part,
there will be a FALVOUR of the SEASON. You must be able to spot those ideas
before most of the guys does and invest heavily into that and get out before it
gets out of the SEASON. With the TECHNOLOGY changes so fast, you must be very
alert to the investment you are doing. With the ELECTRIC CAR coming, many OLD
kind of AUTO ANCILLIARY companies will lose their business and new kind of AUTO
ANICLLIARY companies will benefit.
