What Kind of Investor you are - Irrational / Rational or Trans Rational?

Just see the Price of GOLD and SILVER. Physical Gold price would be around Rs.28800- Rs.29000 for 10 grams in Mumbai and Silver would be around Rs.37500 per KG. May be more!!

You know what levels we have asked our clients and readers of our BLOGS. Gold moved up from Rs.24800 to Rs.28800 and Silver from Rs.34000 to Rs.37500 in less than month!! Not a Single EXPERT - whom you follow - was so categorical when we told!! We always keep you well ahead. We praise LORD for his blessings on us.

Now let me deal with today’s subject matter. Let me ask you the question again - What Kind of Investor you are - Irrational / Rational or Trans Rational?

I am sure most would answer they are RATIONAL!!  Let me deal with each of the qualities and you can decide yourself.

IRRATIONAL INVESTORS:-

Here your thoughts/actions and behaviors are below RATIONAL levels.

Say you want to invest Rs.10 lakh today and want to make it Rs.100 Crs in a year!! Many would wish to do the same in a DAY!! Here there are MENTAL PROJECTIONS for things or events that can happen. You see the behaviors of the MOBS during riots – they project that the other community persons are BAD and attack on them. WHY? Because the MOB is doing the same!! They are projecting and acting.

Many investors come to the market – because their neighbors/friends/relatives are investing in market. They don’t have their own LOGIC/PURPOSE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLSETS or STRATEGY. Still they INVEST and end up losing their HARD EARNED money!!

Rather than learning from above experience – they come back to market for second time / third time expecting – THIS TIME IT WILL BE DIFFERENT!! Nothing has changed. They have not invested any time or money in learning the fine art of investments. They are not interested also. All they want a FREE TIP to invest and they believe they can do the REST on their OWN.

These are 100% IRRATIONAL GUYS. They have no control on RISK or EMOTIONS and Move from one end to other like a PENDULAM. They BLAME their LUCK or GOD for their failure.

RATIONAL INVESTORS:-

Rational guys make the EDUCATED CHOICE!! They choose at every stage. They know their area very well. They have developed the skill sets in their chosen field. If they don’t know – they are ready to LEARN / they are open-minded and they also appoint a consultant, if they find it difficult to handle themselves alone.

When this guy comes to the market, he plans for MAXIMUM profit with PROPER RISK MANAGEMENT. He always sees the two sides of the things and makes the choice for the BETTER SIDE.

He does not copy others till his logic says so. He does not PROJECT good or bad but he consciously makes the choice and observes the results. If the results are not matching the expectations – he is fast to make a NEW DECISIONS to change the same!! He has logical answer for his actions.

He takes the CREDIT for SUCCESS and BLAME for FAILURES on him.

TRANS RATIONAL:-

This guy has TRANSCENDED the RATIONALITY. He is without CHOICE / GOAL / PURPOSE / STRATEGY. Apparently – he looks similar to the IRATIONAL guys but the difference is EGO and KNOWELEGE. TRANS RATIONAL guy has NO EGO and EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE.

He is beyond EXPERT. He is SCHOOL of THOUGHT. He is pioneer in his own FIELD. He has surrendered to the EXISTENCE. For him whatever comes – good or bad / profit or loss / life or death is a GIFT of EXISTENCE. He can see BOTH TOGETHER at any given point of time. That’s why he is FEARLESS and GREEDLESS. He is always in GRATITUDE mode.

When this guy comes to the market  - he is KNOWN as WARREN BUFFETT. If you study HIM, you will see all the qualities mentioned above. Profit or loss is equal for him. That’s why he could hold shares for 40 plus years. He always talks about investing for profit but he has not booked profit SO FAR!! His period of investment is PERMANENT!! He is not bothered if the market is closed for 10 years or more – once his investments are done. He can invest for 50 years or more when he is 80 plus.

What NEXT?

Just add three characters in the each of the above categories and things will become easier for you. See BHIM in first one / ARJUN in second and LORD KRISHNA in third one.

You can be TRAINED to go from IRRATIONAL (BHIM) to RATIONAL (ARJUN) but you can’t be TRAINED to become TRAN RATIONAL (LORD KRISHNA). It is not DOING. It is a state of BEING.

You will get all WORLDLY Pleasures / Name / Fame / Good HEALTH / Satisfying Relationships / WEALTH if you just go to the STAGE of ARJUN.
