Were You Busy with FED Rate Hike and GST? Then, You would have surely missed this. Read this and make tons of money.

Greetings from Hitesh! Many guys said that they could resonate with our post on “Interesting Journey from Lhasa, Tibet to Dharamsala, India”.  If you have still not read the same – I suggest you read it. It may help you plan your lifetime vacation. Last 15 days – media had kept you busy with FED rate hike and GST bill. While you were busy – something more important has taken place. Just read this and you will find out.

Let me share TRAIN TRAVEL Experience first:-

It is normal in Mumbai to travel by TRAIN and it is faster compared to road travel. However, it has become a practice that most locals are LATE every day. 10 -15 minutes late is NEW NORMAL.

While travelling – I came across a gentleman who was travelling in UP. (In UP and BIHAR – to pull a chain and stop the train is normal even now. So most trains are late for hours or days).
Just read his experience.

“I have been traveling in this country for almost twenty years continuously. I was waiting that some time I might find a train, which was on time. And finally one day in Allahabad the train I was waiting for came exactly on time. It was such a surprise! I went to thank the driver and the guard:” In my whole experience of twenty years, this is the first time that a train has arrived at the right time.” They both looked at each other.

I said, ”What is the matter, why are you feeling so embarrassed? I have just come to show my gratitude to you.”

They said, “We are sorry to say to you that this is yesterday’s train.”

At that very moment the stationmaster had also joined. We were all three in a shock and I asked the stationmaster if this was the situation... “For twenty years I have been traveling, and for the first time a train has come at the right time and finally it is discovered that it is yesterday’s train. Then why do you publish timetables?”

The stationmaster said, “They have to be published. Otherwise how will we know how much the train is late?”

Do you agree with Station Master?

Most guys will find his argument logical. Am I right? Like station master all motivational trainers talk about GOAL setting. They argue that with the achievement of goal you can decide whether you are successful or not? In the investment area also they set the Target Returns and decide how they are performing. Many set their Benchmark with the SENSEX or NIFTY Returns and decide how they are performing.

I am sure you will say all these are 100% Logical. I agree with you. But let me give you good NEWS - all logical things are not TRUTH.

What is TRUTH?

Since a long time – our generations have been brought up to see the things in PARTS. We see Body and Mind as different. We see parts of BODY as different – say HANDS / HEAD / LEGS, etc., etc. Then we see Right HAND and LEFT Hand / Right eyes and Left eyes. Then we see INDEX Finger of RIGHT HAND and INDEX Finger of LEFT HAND and things life that. In the MIND also we have Passive Mind and Active Mind / Conscious mind and sub subconscious mind.

The way we see our body – we see business also. We see business performance in last year/ this year/ next year/ last quarter / this quarter / previous year same quarter etc., etc.

Technical Analyst will see chart as DAILY / Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly and Yearly Chart!!

Same way we have 3000 plus religions in this WORLD for one GOD. It seems somebody is following DIVIDE and RULE from the Eternity.

The TRUTH is we have lost an ART to see things in TOTALITY. We have fallen in love with PARTS. And when you see in PARTS – you feel happy or unhappy. You love your wife but not her parents. Same way she loves you but not your parents!!

That’s why you are not able to remain HAPPY for a LONG. This way you are giving a right to other guy to manipulate you and your feelings.

How Does This Relate to FED RATE HIKE /GST Bill / Quarterly Results Prediction by Analysts?

From the beginning of 2015 they were talking about FED RATE HIKE and its implications. Just see markets are up today. ( at the time of writing this post)

They were talking about GST Bill and it did not pass yet. Just see Markets are up.

Analysts Predict the CONSENSUS ESTIMATES. They want company to follow that. Then they say below estimate / above estimate or in line with estimate.

My simple understanding is that I am investing in a Business. It will have its ups and down cycles and all these events (FED RATE/GST) may or may not impact it directly or indirectly. If at all they impact – positive or negative – that is for a short period of time. Life and Business has a long way to go.

All smart investors like Buffett are aware about this secret and they do not bother themselves with these kinds of events till it is going to materially impact the business they have invested in.

What about TIMETABLE / FORECASTS and GOALS?

Stationmaster’s concept of TIMETABLE was 100% wrong. Timetable deals with the SYSTEM of operation of TRAINS. It is not the FAILURE of TRAIN if it reaches late and success of train – if it reaches on TIME or Early!! See the train as a part of system and work on the improvement of the system, if it does not function properly.

The same is applicable to your life when you deal with your GOALS and Company when you deal with their quarterly and yearly results.

Mr.Modi is dealing with the SYSTEM and it will take its own time before you start to see the results. So, if you consider him successful or failure depending on what he has done till now – you will be 100% mistaken.
