The right way to judge the market moves for the coming time.

 

Dear All,

 

Namaste! When nobody was talking, we talked about CRYPTOS in the last post. Many seasoned investors have already started looking at the Cryptos for investments. Normal investors will join the game when they are near 52 weeks high as usual. Today we are going to share the right way to judge the market moves for the coming time. But before that – a beautiful story from Mahabharat. 

 

Arjun and Duryodhan at Lord Krisna’s Place: - 

 

When the WAR was the only option left – both the sides started meeting their relatives / friends and other kings to fight from their side. 

 

So, Arjun and Duryodhan went to Lord Krishna’s palace for help. Lord Krishan was sleeping. 

 

Arjun sat near the feet of Krishna and Duryodhan near the face of Krishna. Both were waiting for him to get up. He got up and saw Arjuna first and Duryodhan later. He asked both of them the reason for their coming.

 

When both explained their purpose – Krishna replied – you both have two options – Either you can take me but I am not going to fight in the war or you can take my Army. He said – since I saw Arjun first – Arjun has the first choice. Duryodhan wanted the Army of Krishna as it was the most advanced in those days. Also he saw there is no point in taking KRISHNA in his team as he was not going to fight. But he couldn’t do anything as the first choice was with the ARJUN. 

 

Arjun replied – I wish you were by my side. So, Duryodhan got the military and Arjun got Krishna. 

 

We all know what happened after that. 

 

What is the relevance of this story to the market moves? 

 

I see normal investors want some esoteric reasons for market predictions. Since they want – there are suppliers for the same. 

 

1.   Some will say ECLIPSE will affect the market.

2.   Some will say technical will affect the markets. 

3.   Some will give Fundamental reasons for the market. 

4.   Some will say political stability will affect the market.

5.   Some will say astrology will affect the market.

6.   Some will use ALGO for trading.

7.   Some will use High Powered computers for their fast success. 

 

In short, there will be N number of reasons/ways  to understand and play to win the market. 

 

If you see the above reasons – however valid they may be – they are like Krishna’s Army. Krishna’s Army was powerful / advanced but it was without Krishna’s guidance when Duryodhan took it. 

 

Trump / Modi / Putin / Xi are powerful leaders. But they may not be there tomorrow. But TATA / BIRLA / ADANI / AMBANI / TESLA and other businesses were there before they came and they will be there after they are gone. Tata and Birla have been in India for over 70-100 years. Many governments came and gone / many wars came and gone / many natural calamities have come and gone – but they are still there. 

 

Unfortunately, our normal investors are busy focusing on the above reasons and spend tons of time discussing them. They are not focusing on the core reason for their wealth creations. 

 

The core REASON for your wealth Creation: - 

 

The core reason is – BUSINESS. Business has fundamentals / technical / leadership issues / government policies and planetary effects. But business as such is a different entity all-together. 

 

The way we have body and body parts but the person whom we call – I or Me is separate from the above. 

 

Buffett has taught me the basics of investing. He told me to focus on BUSINESS. If the business is good / if the business is growing – share prices will move up eventually. All you need is patience / patience and patience. 

 

So, I have always focused on the businesses without worrying about the immediate price performances. Prices may move up fast or slow depending on the above factors – but ultimately prices will move up due to the business and not due to MODI or PUTIN or TRUMP or NO CAPITAL GAINS TAX. 

 

So, where is the market moving? 

 

Look at the overall GDP growth in India. Look at the GST collections. Look at the new businesses coming up in India. Look at the TRADE DEAL with the EU and the USA. The core of India is seeing growth of businesses in various industries. 

All you have to do is to choose the businesses which you understand and which are available at reasonable valuations from above growth stories. 

 

If you just do this much – you will never have to worry about market movements / investment returns and wealth creations. They will happen on their own in spite of all technical and other factors.

 

Remember Business is KRISHNA. All other factors are like Krishna’s army. Without Krishna – Army is useless. With only ARMY you can’t win the WAR. See Duryodhana Lost.
