Ashwini Gujral died at 52. Rakesh died at 62. But, the biggest trader George Soros is going strong at 92.

Dear Fellow Traders,

Namaste! In this week – Technical Analyst Mr. Ashiwin Gujral left for his heavenly abode. Tons of messages were moving in the Media trying to express that the TRADING is BAD. I received one such message and the exact message is like this -

Rakesh was only 62…

Ashwini Gujral was only 52…

Warren Buffett 92 year…!!

Ashwini & Rakesh were traders and Buffett is an investor!

The underline message is that if you want to live longer than you must be an investor and not a TRADER. How simplistic this logic is? Life is not as simple as the above message. The above logic is misleading and not looking at the larger perspectives. Let us see some of the angles.

1.   Loss of Money at the Death: -

Without knowing the personal wealth of each of the above person – I can just say that Buffett or George Soros will leave more wealth behind them compared to Ashwini Gujral and Rakesh would have left. So, if you are successful and if you are making tons of money and if you die at later age – you will have more financial losses compared the people who are successful and died at a younger age.

2.   More BAD KARMA or MORE GOOD KARMA: -

Look at the life of HITLER and STALIN. In the current time look at the life of BIDEN – who is supporting UKRAINE? Millions of people have died because these people lived and lived with Power!!

Buffett and Soros are doing ton of PHILANTHROPY. They are taking advantage of their money, power and long life to make a positive difference in the life of people. So, long life is a double edged sward. Just having a long life is not enough.

What could be the right way to look at the life of above personalities?

They did what they like. They did what their passion supported. They lived their life with a purpose and they achieved success in their purpose. They were/are successful in their chosen filed.

So, next time the factor which should be given the highest weight age is the fulfillment of the purpose by the person and not the longevity.

What is the missing link for outsiders like us when we conclude anything about any person?

We are judging them from one single factor – longevity. Everybody wants to live forever. Since they know they are going not going to live forever – they prefer the second best alternative – longer life span.

As long as you are going to DIE – how does is matter whether you live 50 years or 500 years? Those who live longer will keep on repeating what they did for first 50 years.

What BUFFETT and GEORGE SOROS are doing which others have not done?

Both these guys have more holistic outlook towards their life apart from their passions for investment and trading. They gave importance to their mental and physical health / relationships / society well-being and many other factors while they were growing up.

Look at their belly size and look at the belly sizes of Rakesh and Ashwini Gurjal. You will see the truth. They didn’t focus on their body. They just focused on their passion.

So, the right perspective could be to live a holistic life in whatever is your goal / purpose or dream. Just focusing on the goal may take you to the top but you will lose your body!!

According my understanding – TRADING IS NOT BAD and INVESTMENT IS NOT GOOD. If you are not living HOLISTICALLY – you are 100% WRONG.
