How December State Elections MAY change the game in the Market?

Greetings from Hitesh! Normal minds get affected by RECENT past events very much and they miss the PRESENT as well as FUTURE opportunities in the same. On Tuesday, market was down, so all were negative on Wednesday and market went up. Today all were positive, but market went down in the morning and it is recovering as I am writing this post. Our first message to our clients was – market will change mood post 10.30am today and we had asked them to buy 10200 calls and Nifty. They all minted money.

The point is – we were looking for opportunities when market was in mess, despite of the fall or bad news. Our focus is on PRESENT and PRESENT only. Since we deal with the PRESENT all the time, our future becomes good by default.

Now let me deal with the above topic. 9 out of the 10 guys are negative about MODI winning in the state election. Media guys are calling STATE election as a SEMI FINAL for the 2019 elections. Market is also discounting the same. Overall market is negative due to various factors and one of them is election resutls.

Now, let us see the other possibility: -

Let us assume on 11th December 2018, we come to know that BJP is winning in at least 4 out of 5 states or winning in all the states, what do you think market would do? How would FIIs will think on coming central election? How other big investors will think about India as an investment destination?

I am sure all would be positive for MODI winning CENTRAL election, if the SEMI FINAL resutls are good.



Is it my prediction?

No. This is not my prediction and as a rule I don’t make political predictions till I have all the people charts with me.

In 2004, Market was 100% sure about BAJPAI winning the election and he lost. Market hit the down circuit for the first time and was down by 2200 points in a single day (if my memory is correct). This time all are negative about MODI, and if he wins, I see market mood changing to positive or super positive very fast.

What Next?

Market has lot of VALUE INVESTING opportunities for SERIOUS investors. Those who are really interested in investing for 3-5 years horizon, you will have a time to do cherry picking.
