Warren Buffett Says… “To be a successful investor you must divorce……” Is he right?

New Year Greetings from Hitesh! Today is the first day of the year and I am talking about Divorce! However, if you read it properly, first I am talking about Mr.Warren Buffett, then about Successful Investment and then divorce. When he talks….it must make sense. Let us go deep into it.

Had He Taken Divorce?

If I go by his Biography, he has not taken divorce. Though, his wife stayed away from him for later part of her life. How come he became the best investor without Divorce and he is asking us for Divorce? He must be talking about something else. So, which divorce he is talking about?

Can You Have Purpose in Your Life Without Your Family?

Most of the normal people work hard so that they can provide the best of the education, comforts and better future to their children and their family members. If we talk about Divorce, there will not be a family unit. No family, no purpose. If you have no purpose, will you invest? Will you have motivation to become successful investor?

Which Divorce Mr.Buffett is referring to?

Let us read the full sentence……“To be a successful investor you must divorce yourself from the fears and greed of the people around you, although it is almost impossible." -Warren Buffett 

I am sure things will be clear now. If you study any great person’s life…..they have become great in their respective filed just because that could take divorce from Fear and Greed of the results…..they just did what they felt like doing. Their passion for doing things was more intense then short term success and failure.

They just did what was needed in the first step. Then they did what was possible and suddenly they were doing impossible things. Just see the recent example of Mr.Kejrival.

Mr.Kejrival became the CM of Delhi just by doing what he believed to be right. When he started…..most people wrote him off….today he has become a threat to the established political leaders for upcoming Union Eelection!!

What is our call?

Big success can only come if you can go above greed and fear, success and failure. Mr.Buffett is also talking about the same, what Lord Krishna had told to Arjun.
